Issues at the track.

Ok, so I made my first passes since the lsa conversion and 4l80 swap. They were packed so I only got 2 runs in 5 hours I was less than impressed with this car. The time slips show why I'm disappointed. Thinking it's some tune related issues. The 1.74 60 foot bogged.

11.97 pass- 2057 da
12.68 pass-1597 da

18psi in the tires first pass and dead hooked, 24 psi the second and spun past the 60.

I don't know why my et and mph is so far off?

I think my combo should trap 125 or so? Hell all motor cars are running way faster...

I'm thinking my converter needs some work, along with the tune. Either way, I'm going to get new rear tires and hook up the transbrake and go back to the track again

How hot was it? Been in the 100's here in south Texas. Heat soak is a big deal.

Need to sort out the combo, I'm going 120/121 in the same DA with 463rwhp.

Agreed, something is way off. I trapped 111 spinning with a 6 speed with 440whp. I will be doing a leakdown test and going from there. Everyone says they can smell fumes driving behind me. So i wonder if the tune is that far off or do I have a dead cylinder? Time will tell

Based on your MPH values in your slip there are a bunch of things to look at.

So you make 685rwhp?

I'd be checking:
Shift points
AF
Belt slippage

I would think you'd be trapping over 100 MPH in the 1/8th.

My thoughts exactly, and yes it made 685whp.

Trans shifts very hard and I have shift points set at 6500.
I'm going to look for signs of belt slippage today.
And I need to add a bung so I can datalog a pull

All things on the list. Thanks for the help.

I was really hoping to trap 125-130. I thought that's where it should be.

What baffles me is the bogging off the line? It's a 3200 stall circle d that I was flashing.

I'm going to make a trip to a different tuner/dyno if the motor checks out ok.

What rear gear are you running?? I have my shift point set at 6700 rpm with 3.91 gears and a 3000 FTI M.D. converter . In good air trapping at 135 mph 1/4 and 107mph in the 1/8.

No signs of belt dust. I'm running a 3.73 gear.

I was also told I had some black smoke coming out of the car. Which I can smell them when I come to a stop. Pulling plugs is next? Maybe I melted one?

I ordered the lnc 2000.. I'll have it tomorrow. I will leave off the brake when I go back next wednesday and that should eliminate my low end bog. But still doesn't explain it.

I'm waiting to return for a retune until I have the lsa accessory drive and a meth kit. ( I'll be going back to cincy speed this time)

I'm really at a loss for why I'm down 15-20 mph?

A buddy has hp tuners pro so I'm thinking I will have a bung welded in and datalog a pull. This will tell everything!!!

Lots of stuff to look at.. My list would be something like this:

-Check trans fluid
-Check shift points
-Look for belt slippage / belt dust
-AF
-Melted cats?
-Converter not locking up? Though your mph was so bad I don't think it's this.

Trans shifts perfect, especially wot. Hits super hard and no slipping. Trans has roughly 800 miles on it(4l80)

No belt dust or signs of slippage.

No cats

Not going fast enough to lock converter but it worked fine on my 150 mile round trip to the track.

Definitely need to log af

Thanks for your help! I'm taking everything very seriously as something is very wrong
