Swirl Marks after Pine Sap Removal
Have some nasty swirl marks on my hood after removing a big glob of pine sap. I have tried removing them with Mother's Polishing Compound and it did help some, but I really would like to know what's out there that would work quicker and better.
Here's what they look like. Taken at night in the parking lot under a light. Thanks in advance!!!!

You need to use a machine, you'll NEVER get that out by hand.

Like mentioned you will need a machine, however they will come out.

I do have an orbital buffer, but have been hesitant to try it for fear of making it worse. I have been trying to work it out by hand with microfiber.

Those will be tough to get out by hand.....
Let me know if you have any questions when you are ready to pull the trigger on a polisher. Thanks, Chris |

If your using a compound with a microfiber towel using pressure to try to remove this spot, your likely to induce more marring than what you already have.
Orbital machines are very safe on clear coat paint because they don't generate heat like the rotary machines. What type of orbital do you have? Before you do any compounding/polishing you have to wash, strip old wax/sealant, and clay to have the surface prepped. If these steps are not done your just grinding dirt and other contaminates into your clear coat.

That's a beautiful car. Please spend some money and take it to a professional detailer.

I have a power buffer that oscillates and have soft bonnets also, I will go to the Auto Parts store and get some new soft pads and try to get it right with Polishing compound. It is very creamy stuff, no grit. Damn pine sap!! Should've taken my car cover along, but I didn't realize I was gonna be parked under pine trees for a week.
