i have an 89 w/ 5.7 and 327 HD rear axle. It does run out of steam at around 4600 RPM, the biggest draw back is first gear is 3.06 which launches it nicely but then 2nd is 1.63 where it goes dead. lots of fun for smoking stock tires off the line! only 11,125 original mi on original shoes.
