I wouldn't expect more than 5-10whp. I'm not sure when it will go on a dyno again.

You'll need new spark plug wires to run these shorties.

Do you know this to be 100% accurate?

I saw a Holley web page were it said the plug wires were not required, only recommended. As for the Holley install instructions, it says they are required.

I have the entire Blackheart system installed like John does. Long tubes, no cats etc. I reused the stock length wires with no problems. You should be ok.

Looks like it would need a 45 or a 90 degree boots to run those shorty headers.
Most long tubes headers will work with the original or OE straight style boots.

They do look like it will be a tight fit with the OEM boots. I'll find out in a few more days.

I have jbs shorties....they sent a longer plug wire with the headers. If the site says your good ...I think your good. The drivers side design on the hookers look to be a ltitle flatter. I'm thinking this is why you won't need a longer wire.

IMHO , leave it alone until you are ready to do the TT and do it all at once.

On one Holley link it said they are recommended. On the Holley install PDF it says required. I'll find out soon enough

I think you should give them a call. I updated my stock plug wires to jba power cables. They didn't come with a long enough cable for the plug on the drivers side at the rear of the motor. They just sent stock lengths. I would have been screwed if jba didn't send me the longer one with the headers.

Thread revive with an update.

Headers shipped today finally 1/21/16.

I ordered these headers off of Holley's website on 12/9. They were backordered with an expected availability of 12/13.

12/13 comes around, and there is nothing news wise on the headers. I wait a few days after Christmas and email a customer service rep from Holley asking about any information regarding the headers I ordered. My response was "ETA 1/4".

On 1/7 I send another email again asking when the headers would be available and be shipped. I also asked about the spark plug wires and if they were required. I get a response later saying, these headers need 2-3 weeks lead time. SO..... by this time I ordered the headers an entire month ago and get told I have to wait another 2-3 weeks for my order to possibly be fulfilled with zero mention of the spark plug wire question I asked. I got one question answered and not the other.

Today, driving to work, I got an email saying they shipped and expected delivery is Monday. I will be attempting the install either Wednesday or Thursday.

Been waiting over 2 months for the exhaust. At least it's not just me or a crappy lying vendor.
