Minnesota is a WILL ISSUE state. So they have to deny you within the 30-day period if they're going to do so.
Background check to purchase a firearm usually only takes about a minute here.

Getting off this subject for min. I was talking to the mrs about getting a better defensive firearm for her. She currently carries a Taurus 38 special with a 2 (maybe a 1 1/2) inch barrel, 5 shot. I've shot her gun and it's not the most accurate 38 I've shot either. I want to get her something with a few more rounds and similar in size as her 38. Any suggestions? If she doesn't want another gun, them im getting a wheel gun in a 44 mag caliber. Either way it's a win.
