Car cover stain

I've had the ZL1 outdoor car cover from Chevrolet for about 4 months and I've had a few issues with it. I just took the cover off after about 2 weeks and found a horrible stain on the spoiler and barely noticeable on the trunk lid. Has anyone else ever had this happen? Rain water does collect on the trunk lid due to the spoiler but it only left a stain where the black stripe is on the cover. I've washed it and tried goo gone on it and no change. Anyone have ideas to remove this stain?

I also get rub marks on the fenders/hood corners from the cover moving in the wind. Not sure what's worse now, the rub marks and now staining or sun damage??

You might be able to polish it out. If you don't want rub marks don't use a car cover.

I would try to use some clay on it first, if that won't pull the stain out then move to the machine polishing. Car covers are not always kind to your paint, I stop using them a few years ago because they created more work for my paint.
