How do you detail around vinyl stripes?

I have factory rally stripes. I want to clay, seal, and wax but I don't know how to go about it around the vinyl stripes without getting product stuck in the edges. Any suggestions on how to do a good job and not have to clean stripes for days?

What he said above. You can wax over the stripes if you use a wax that does not leave chalky pasty, marks

Tape them off as already mentioned, I've never had an issue of build up at stripes myself but can see how it could be a concern.

If you keep your pad away from that area or a body line/panel seem until your product is spread out well I'm sure you won't have any issues. Good luck an post up some pics of your detail

In 6 years i've only waxed my factory IO stripes 3 or 4 times. They still look great. Not a big deal.

Is there a paint process that can replicate the flat black and still have the rest of the paint glossy?
