6th gen VALVES/FLAPS problem

Recently I've done a muffler delete but I doubt that's the reason to my flaps/valves sounding like crap and making a rattling sound. I've read some others on here have had the same problem with the valves and I was wondering how they fixed the problem or did Chevrolet fix it for free?

What valves? AFM?

If you've done a muffler delete and had NPP you no longer have them...Those have been what's rattling...

Another issue?

When I took it back to the exhaust shop they said the flaps in the exhaust are broken. But I just assumed flaps/valves were the same?

Yep, the NPP flaps are more or less a part of the muffler (close to the muffler) so if you just tossed out the mufflers and tips your deleted the NPP, but if you kept the NPP flaps and tips and placed them on your new mufflers, then I guess that could work.

I kind of doubt that would be fixed under warranty now that you've dumped the original mufflers.

Sounds pretty bogus to me. The rattling is likely from their poor install...

I don't have npp, but I assume as well warranty won't fix it but I did ask the guy who works on warrantys at the Chevrolet I bought it from who said muffler delete is fine as long as I don't go past the cats with any mods. As much as I regret it the car sounded awesome til one week later when I believe the flaps broke, but does flaps being broke usually sound really bad? Cause mines sounds pretty bad now

Yea it sounded dumb to me to.... So they than said the pipe they installed had
Two holes and they re-welded it and it sounded better but that rattling was still there if that makes sense.

Do you have an Automatic? The AFM valves are ahead of the muffler and shouldn't have been removed depending on how intrusive your delete was.
They close to keep the car from sounding like Ass when in cylinder de-activation mode. No Automatic? No valves then. I doubt chevy is gonna help you here as it sounds like a hack install..

All three engines feature direct injection, which enables an increased compression ratio for a greater balance of performance and efficiency. For models equipped with an automatic transmission, the all-new 3.6L V-6 and the new LT1 also employ Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation technology, which disables some cylinders under light throttle applications to enhance efficiency. In the 3.6L, two cylinders are deactivated and in the LT1 V-8, four cylinders are deactivated.
