Well mine is kept outside, every six months (before and after winter) I do full strip down, clay, polish, seal/wax just because of all the harsh weather and things I have to deal with. Then as I wash and such add some protectant and such. i mean that is the best you can do honestly. My paint looks pristine because of that process. Its coming about that time I do it again right before winter.

I promise you, it won't melt if the sun hits it / water lands on it / snow accumulates on it!

^^^ NO. Talk about paint abuse. The car will be fine outside, mine sits outside in the summer here in NY at my apartment complex. Just make sure to park away from people.

If the car is parked in a covered garage 5 days a week while at work, then I wouldn't worry about it, that is already pretty decent protection as it will be out of the sun the majority of the time.
My car gets spoiled...I park in a garage at home, and I park in a garage at work. It is definitely convenient as far as helping keep the car clean.

Just do what I do. I park the Camaro in an end spot with only one side exposed, then I park my '16 Cruze on that side. totally blocked. I scoped out the apartment complex to find the least used corner so that no one would want that end spot. It's a little bit of a walk to my building but worth every non-existent door ding

Based on the help from those earlier in the thread I won't be doing either of those two options. Sounds like in this weather a regular wash schedule and routine coats of LSP should be a fine solution to try. Cover will lead to marring in the wind, and I'm not going to store my daily driver at a storage unit.

If you have the room a Shelter Logic garage in a box is an option for you. Many sizes to choose from, they do hold up very well.
