After reading all of the problems that forum members are having on their gen5 camaros it seem small. All cars have problems some are big, and some are small and some cars brands tend to have more problems than others. I usually hate when the problems are small because it seems the person performing the labor was not paying attention to detail. In my car the trim from the door that seals the window came up as I was closing the window. My car has has trim piece that seals the side rear of my convertible top. It bends outward when I close the top. The trim install person sucked or he ran out of good fitting parts when my car was on line for the trimming parts.

I only have 22,000 miles on my car I am still under bumper to bumper and I also purchased an extended bumper to bumper for this type of situations.

As per other threads I checked that the spark plug wires were secure, and they were. I do hear a ticking sound that wasn't there before. Tomorrow is Sunday so I won't be able to take it to the dealer until Monday morning. I'm on edge.

Oil cooler leak, oil pan leak, then the oil pump died in pain. Not that oil is important or anything...

How many miles when oil pump died? What did you replace it with and how many miles since?

Bought the car in September of 2015 with 5300 miles with the leaks already present. Dealer fixed them as a condition of sale. Oil pump went out in April of 2016 or there abouts with 9800 miles. Happened immediately on start so it only ran a few seconds. No damage caused. I had a high volume melling put in along with a BTR stage 2 cam kit, long tubes and high flow cats. Have about 13k on it now. Wish I could drive it more, but Pzeros don't like Colorado winters.

Car was out of warranty due to age, dealer offered to split the repair bill with me on the pump but would only use a GM pump. I said hell no and took it to a trusted speed shop. Had issues with their service dept in the past and didn't want their crappy pump either.

I guess the 2010 LS3 cars were prone to premature failure. The L99 cars had a different pump. Was an expensive ordeal but the car runs damn good now.

Thanks for that reply. You got a nice car with low miles. Enjoy it. Good choice on pump and good luck going forward.

Ok Guys,

Im new to these forums. I need help!!!!

My Camaro is cammed, headers, intake, dyno tuned, full exhaust.

I been having a problem, when i am gaining speed sometime i feel like this little jerk as if the car misfires. it does not happen all the time. But for instance if i have my A/C on and im gradually gaining speed it will spudder. also when i am at high rpms i can also feel it spuddering. I have no idea what it can be.

I replace my spark plugs and wires. did an oil change. could it be my injectors? please help

Guess I'm the odd lady out. My Camaro is like Frankenstein at this point (and if anyone has any suggestions since still pretty unhappy about all the repairs, I'm open to them)

Vehicle Background: Stock 2010 V6 Manual LT1 (I ordered from scratch). 121,000 miles mostly highway and runs well when it's not one disaster or another.

New wheel cover (warranty)
April 2014: Decarboned, flushed injectors and throttle (paid). Replaced oil gasket (warranty). Worked on timing chains (warranty). Finally took apart the engine and bearings were spun so replaced the engine with crate engine (warranty).

Nov 2014: Replaced oil sender and MAF (paid).

January 2015: Was told I needed a new throttle body and engine control module (paid). differential fluid leakage from two seals (warranty).

April 2015: replace one whole side of the catalytic converter and it's O2 sensors (paid)

October 2015: rear differential fluid leaking again and replaced bearings and axle seal (half)

January 2016: Master slave cylinder leaked into the clutch so clutch assembly replacement (Paid)

February 2016: replace battery for the first time (paid)

July 2016: Replaced brake pads and rotors (paid)

And guess what? Just had a new check engine light come on and looks like the other cat converter's going out. Lovely.
