Exhaust/Muffler. Need it a little deeper

I don't want a knock your socks off sound, but want it a little deeper than the stock. I want it to sound "good". Was thinking of Cherry Bomb. Anybody suggestions?

I first changed out the stock muffs for Magnaflow performance but left the resonators. Better. Now next week I am going to delete the resonators. Don't want to get kicked out of the trailer park!

BTW, while it was on the lift, I had them black out the muffs and pipes. Nice look!

Agree... best bang 4 buck
deleting resonators & adding xpipe quieted it down a lil bit

Avoid the cherry bombs. They drone like mad!

If deeper tone is what you're after check out Stainless Works Retro Chambered catback. Excellent sound and about as deep of an exhaust sound as I've heard.

Agree with these two. I've had both. Muffler delete is a cheap easy option that can usually be done for under $100. Nice deep sound for cheap! If you have an L99, you'll want to have AFM tuned out though. If sound is all you want, just do the muffler delete. If you plan on doing power mods down the road or have already ie: Intake, headers, cats, etc. I would suggest the SW Retro Chambered catback. Sounds a tad deeper than the muffler delete with all the benefits of a 3in exhaust.

Good luck!

If you do not want it loud do not do the SW retro chambered. I read so many on here that love it and said there is no drone, listened to several videos and was convinced that was the exhaust for me. When I first cranked it up I had a big smile but that went away pretty quickly. Don't get me wrong it sounds great but is really loud and drones badly getting up to speed (just cruising) but is not bad once it gets to highway speed. Anyway I just wouldn't recommend it if you don't want to disturb your neighbors lol. It may not be as bad without headers though.

I replaced the rear mufflers of the kit with a flowmaster pro flow (hush power or something like that) because it was close to the same length and fit pretty well. It quieted it down some and made it deeper sounding. It also toned down the interior noise a good bit. Honestly it sounds better to me because it's deeper and less raspy.

I guess I am just too old for such exhaust now. I am probably going to sell this setup and get the magnaflow street set up. I think with my LT headers it will be plenty loud but not too bad at least from what I have heard and read.
