wind restrictor

I just got my wind restrictor from king penn. I ordered the multicolor version with remote. I have the quick disconnect and the battery pack. My question is wiring it. Searching on the forums make it look like there is a brake light module. That was not listed as an option when I ordered it. Will I need another module to have it on with driving lights and brighter with the brakes on? I will email them tomorrow but since I was working on it thought I would post to see if anyone has already done this.

Thanks,
Mr V

I have the Wind Restrictor in my 2013 Corvette Convertible. I ordered it with the Red LED and wired it to my brake lights.

I contacted them and found out the brake light module some people had in the past has been discontinued. They are supposed to have a new module coming out in a few weeks so I will probably wait and see what that will run. Without the module the choices are hooking it up to your driving lights and it will be on any time your lights are on. The second is to hook it to your brake lights and will only come on with the brakes. The module should allow me to do what I was looking for, having it work like tail lights, on and then brighter when you hit the brakes.

Or install it to a switch so you can control when its on, plus you could also install a relay so when you hit the brakes it will be the primary circuit so it will light up regardless of the switch position, this method will of course take more time to research, for me i have it wired to the brake light, to get more interior light i installed some led strips, which also act to illuminate the wind restrictor

same effect

Do those work the same as ones that mount closer to the front seat?

They dont work as well as the factory version pictured, But if you need to be able to have a useable back seat with some wind protection this style is the way to go
