A 3.2 on the front is very small and doesn't offer good belt wrap.

Here's an example. With a 3.2 my car made 18 psi but it wasn't consistent due to slippage.

With a 3.4 the boost fell to 16psi but the car was faster on the track.

I made a few passes with each the same day at the track.

A 3.2 6 rib pulley is as good as a kick in the nuts.

Also, at 10 psi you'll start, it's not bad at this point, to see slippage on the rear pulleys.
Hmmm....... I just don't like the sound of the cog drive.

Might have to just do the 8 rib. $$$$$$$

I assume Ted has a 8 rib pulley for his supertensioner.

Well WTF! Now you don't like the nosie. There's just no pleasing you!

I have an 8 rib with the supertensioner. It works just as well. You'll get a 10% OD crank pulley with the 8 rib kit so a 3.4 should be mint.

haha, Long as I can spin 10-12 psi I'm good. Of course IF I still go with a few more cubes (I'm hard headed like that) and still want 10-12 then I guess I'll have to go with the cog set-up.

LPE makes and overdriven rear pulley set-up. No cogs, no whine. Unlike you!

You can pretty much hit any boost number you want with all the products out there.

lol, I may have to do that.

One thing I have to remember is I need bigger injectors and a fuel pump. I'm stock pump with a BAP. And 53 pound injectors. Was only pushing 6-7 pounds of boost though on my daily driving.

But if the Maggie won't hit 10-12 pounds with a 419 without taxing the shit out of it then I'll go back 376. Yours has done impressively well.

What were you running with no spray?

It went 9.98 at like 138 in some good North East DA. It was right at 10.0 on any given day.

Look into the LPE dual pumps and obviously much bigger injectors. I have those ID 850's and we're just about at 800 rwhp with room to go with the LPE pumps and the ID's.

I think it comes out to be 3-3.5 psi. A 3.4 would be near 13psi on a 376 CI. I have no clue on a 419.

I was about to get a pump and the ID 850s when this happened. It was going to be a ZL1 pump with the useage of my BAP. So I knew I wanted those to be in place even with my lower build. But now, either way it'll be a must.

That would be perfect.

But answer me this........ With more cubes and the same boost why would the car be slower. It would make more power. Is it because the torque might be lower?

That doesn't sound as bad as I've heard on others.

I have no idea why. I've seen a few big cubes tvs 2300's that made much more rwhp than me be over .5 second slower. Maybe to make that peak power they over spin the blower thus causing a high IAT issue and really making less power when out on the track.

Just something about the 2300 and the 376. If I thought the car would be quick on a 416 my car would be done already.. Ted offered me his built shop motor yesterday.

Ah. Fair enough.

How much does he want for it? lmao
