Orange Krate's Nursery is temporarily ready!
I have spent the better part of two days cleaning out, throwing away, organizing, adding cabinets and scrubbing out the nursery for Orange Krate's impending arrival home. I had a small party at the house as several friends showed up to give a hand. We will have a welcoming home ceremony tomorrow night provided the dealer finishes the work. I should know by noon tomorrow where they are at and then the fun begins!
Sidebar: A couple of people who have seen my VIN noted that it looks like the first letters spell "2 GIFT" (2G1FT) I find it ironic that this is my wife's gift to me (for the next few years to come!) and it is my SECOND Camaro. It really is a grand gift! I drove by the closed dealership today twice and looked through the gated yard to see Orange Krate sitting there looking lonely and waiting for Dad to drive him home! Soon son! Very soon.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN ORANGE KRATE IS HOME!!!
OUR BELOVED ORANGE KRATE IS HOME!!!!
At long last our baby has found her way to the nursery! Just in time for a pending rain forecast later this week. We went to the dealer and paid our respects to salesman Dave and signed off on the painting of the GFX ($400.00). My lovely wifey drove the other vehicle home and I took the long way. WOW! I could test a little of the horsepower without worrying about being on a test drive. One word...SWEET! We then hooked up with multiple friends and family and did a little road trip over to Thousand Oaks from Simi Valley, picked up my sister and her husband and went to my brothers house in Newbury Park. Unfortunately my brother wasn't home but his wife and daughter were and they were loving Orange Krate. There will be plenty more photos to come but I am exhausted. I got to bed at midnight then up at 4 AM, worked all day, rushed home to meet my wife and head out to the dealer, and it is now midnight again post delivery. I even got a little wax going on the hood and fenders tonight just to see how she feels! BABYS BUTT soft! Anyway...here are some photos as promised with a smidge better camera than the cell phone photos! Another interesting sidebar story with more photos coming regarding my crazy ass brother inlaw! He got me and the family good today! BTW he owns a sweet 2008 Vette.
