He paced me as I went to park in our employee parking. Jerk! Parked it up front to make sure he'd see it when he was end of shift. Saw him half hour later and he never acknowledged me.

if i stop you for going 92 and don't write you a ticket then I think getting a short a$$ chewing is expected.

You do the crime, you pay the fine .....

Suprised nobody has mentioned one of these yet;

I of course only use this to warn me that police may be in the area attending to an emergency and that I should proceed to drive with caution

Good point, if the officer says nothing, you are getting a ticket.
If the officer chews you out, you are getting a warning.
Why?
Because you are less likely to complain about the officer's attitude if you receive the "gift" of a warning.
This is what I always say when a driver asks for a warning.
Driver: "Officer, can't you give me a warning"?
Me: "Did you see the speed limit sign"?
Driver: "yes"
Me: "Well that's your warning".

driver speed warning setting?

Hell all, great forum here, I wondering about something.....
My camaro 2ss rs is on order due to arrive in about 8 weeks.

I have to drive through a number of drastically changing speed zones on my way to work each day.

Im wondering about the "driver speed set limiter warning" message that I've read can be set from the driver information center screen. Does it only flash a warning that you have exceeeded your desired speed, or does it also make some kind of beeping sound to alert you?

any experience on this would be helpful
thanks.

Perhaps a little insight in the mind of a cop when "performance vehicles" are encountered.
Cops, especially those who work graveyard shifts in large cities frequently get calls of sideshows, reckless driving, car spinning donuts, street racing and other offensive noisy, smoky and reckless driving craziness. Often these complaints are in deserted industrial areas but they can be in empty parking lots. Most of the local young people get tweets, twits and text notifications regarding their locations. Beer and weed also permeate these impromptu driving skill events.
Cops ending up getting calls and the cavalry rolls in as the street racers and their spectators scatter in all directions. Predictably these street racer participants are driving rear wheel drive, V8 powered cars capable of spinning donuts. Some favorites are Fox-body 5.0 Mustangs, GT Mustangs from later vintages, Gen 3-4 Camaro's and perhaps a few Gen 5 Camaro's sprinkled in.
So the next time you think your car is being profiled, perhaps it is. If you participate occasionally in the joy of a smokey burnout just because you can, then expect extra attention from the police who respond to complaints about such driving behavior.
The video is an example of bad driving behavior on display. These type of videos unfortunately conjure up negative stereotypes of Camaro drivers. This may be a partial answer to complaints from Gen5 drivers about why they think they are being picked on by the po-po.
