ok so i just finished the call with the service manager at competition. not a call i want to have to repeat again. i couldn't keep my emotions in check
so what he explained to me is that he wants the opportunity to make this all right with my car. in other words he wants me to bring the car back to him so they can fix this. i explained that i'm quite leary about doing this as i don't want any of them touching my car. after much discussion the conversation was left with me deciding what i want/need to make this right with them so i want some feedback from my wonderful alberta c5 friends here as to if you think my demand list is fair or not what i want in order for this to be right again in my books is: 1) the damaged door sill replaced 2) the entire car power polished, thus removing any micro scratches it has picked up 3) the paint sealant reapplied to the car after the polishing 4) a minimum of $130 fuel compensation for not only the trips back and forth, but to cover a tank of fuel in my dually while they have my car again 5) my transformers fender emblems as an "i'm sorry" for all of the heartache that this ordeal has caused me #5 is purely my want as those emblems are something i've wanted since i bought the car but they were too friggin expensive for me to buy personally, but it would greatly please me to have them giving to me as a help for them to make it up to me for what they have put me through thoughts and opinions are greatly welcomed

Good luck with the fuel comp. Businesses are friendlier to offering products or services that they can supply. They have ways of making these type of costs sort-of "disappear".
Items like the door sill and Transformer badges can be obtained at dealer costs while the power polish and paint sealant, if applied in-house, is just labour. Easy stuff!

since you live so far away, i might just be tempted to tell you to say "enough with them" and just pick a dealer closer to you.....i mean after i saw those pics i wouldnt take my car back there, even with "promises" from the service manager...

if I was you I would try to get:
1) the damaged door sill replaced 4) a minimum of $130 fuel compensation for not only the trips back and forth, but to cover a tank of fuel in my dually while they have my car again 5) my transformers fender emblems as an "i'm sorry" for all of the heartache that this ordeal has caused me i'm not sure what exactly would be involved for 2 and 3 so i'm goign with those. good luck with it all. and just think after this is all over with you will never have to use them again.

well i took my car to the other dealer this morning for them to look at the code/fan/speaker issues. so here's hoping i can get that side of it resolved before dealing with competition about fixing the rest of the car

alright here is today's update
i take my car over to the other dealership to get the other problems figured out. and 3.5 hours later they call me to say hey come and get your car. looks like all of my codes have been cleared, the car has been road tested, cruise is operative again and i have a new fan blower motor on order to get rid of the chirping from my fan, and i have a new amp on order to fix my speaker distortion and i did manage to touch base with the service manager today at competition chev and i'm not overly thrilled with the conversation i had with him. my gm customer service girl was awsome and she made the suggestion that instead of me asking for fuel reimbursement to ask for a rental and i was totally on board for that idea so anyways when i chatted with the service manager he again stated that i needed to bring the car out to him for him to have a look at. so i told him that i'm still struggling with them touching my car, but that i need to know that this is going to be fixed right. this is where the convo started going haywire. he told me that upon seeing the car he'll make the determination of what does or does not need to be repaired on it. i told him that i didn't like that idea and that i have and see damage on the car and that i will be telling them what will or will not be fixed and how it will be fixed. he danced around me just getting the car back to him again and i asked him ok so what about fuel reimbursement cuz not only do i have to drive out again but i have to put my dually on the road while you have the car. he said he would look into getting something done for me. i didn't like that answer either cuz this shouldn't be a "i'll look into it" situation. this should be a yes ma'am whatever you need to make this right situation. and i ran the rental idea by him and he said that rentals are pretty hard to come by right now and that if i want a rental then i have to make it to the dealership before enterprise closes to sign the paperwork for the rental. i countered with him having the paperwork ready to go after hours for me to sign and he said that's not his responsibility. i ended the call by saying that i need to think on this and that i'll be putting another call into my girl at gm customer service again tomorrow. that's when he responded back with "well that's fine and well if you want to call her again, but just be aware that they can't MAKE us do anything" i hung up before i completely lost it on him needless to say my first call tomorrow is to my girl at gm customer service and i'm making recommendation that competition chevrolet never touches my car again and that a dealership closer to me is in charge of the repairs and for the bill to fix my car right goes straight to competition chev

After his last comment I would not even give him a call back... Talk to your girl at costumer service and ask them to help pay another dealer for the repairs to your car as they have the ability to do that for you... JMO eh .................:-)

today is a much better day!!!!
i talked to my girl at gm customer service this morning, told her the story of the convo i had yesterday with my dealer. she took the reins, contacted another dealer in my area and they stepped up to the plate and are willing to repair my car for me gm customer service is going to flip the bill for the repairs and i don't ever have to set foot in that sh*tty dealership again that wrecked my car just waiting to find out what time i can take my car over for an estimate and then we'll get the ball rolling to get her fixed up right!!!!
