Needed some plastidip buying tips. So I went to the plastidip website and got completely lost in the different specifications they have. http://www.plastidip.com/concrete.php

Can the plastidip gurus please weigh in and tell me what plastidip spec they used?

Just did my lights/bezels and bowties. This stuff works pretty good. I only used 3 coats. I almost did my wheels but my weights threw me off. Didnt want to paint over them or tape them off, I rather have weights on the backside of the rim. Guess I need to go get my tires balance...

Try number 1 - Fail

Did a test run on a plastic tray. Got some nasty edges with spikes when I removed the darn tape. Had waited approximately 5 minutes though. Hoping I get it right the next time cos am thinkin I might have sprayed too much first time around

I'm sure you sprayed enough, but you waited too long to pull the tape off. You need to pull it off right after you finish the last coat.

Guess am slowly getting the hang of it now stieger. Practice runs definitely help. By the way for those who don't know HOME DEPOT is going to stop carrying plastidip going forward. I found some last bit of left over plastidip stock in the third home depot that I tried and got lucky.

SSdude, if it helps; I spray the interior space of whatever I want to have plasti-dipped and get the inside coated up. I do the edges last so I don't have to keep peeling and applying tape. This way you rip the tape off 1 time and you have perfect edges with the whole piece having the number of coats you want. It helps more if you finish 1 egde at a time so you dont waste time trying to peel an edge while another is drying.

Absolutely . One edge at a time is key. My mistake was that I put on too much tape and removing it "all" in the window before it dried was a bitch
