believe what you want. i think its the junk gm clutch master cylinder. tick performance claims in 2010 gm changed the way the computer monitors the clutch and related components making it very difficult to create an aftermarket master cylinder. tick makes these master cylinders for gto's that experienced similar trans problems. thats all im saying.

well couldn't find my manual transmission computer. So I took it to a transmission shop in Juarez,Mexico ( transmission is made in Mexico) figured if any one knows it's them. Well he said he fixed it. He said he took care of the problem. I should be able to drive back home. And that i can keep it in 1st gear on the highway with no problem and that the computer should take care of the shifting for me on my manual transmission. To make even cooler is that he didn't charge me a nickel. All I have to do is take a couple of suitcases to Texas that he's cousin forgot when he visited. Thanks for the heads up on the problem Kaylew.

im so sorry i mis spoke its the computer that monitors the clutch that makes creating a better master cylinder for our shifting problems so difficult.

But all it does is monitor. It doesn't control any aspect of the xmsn

Computer monitoring the clutch for what? Burning? I don't think there are any sensors in the clutch assembly or the master / slave cylinder.

I wouldn't believe any of that.

I think the stock master DOES flow enought to disengage the clutch fully when shifting. Under hard shifting conditions (power shifting at the track), the hydraulic system can use a high flow master. IMHO, I think the Camaro's design of the clutch hydraulics and the shifter was very poor. To top it off, the blocker/1-2 synchro design is not much better.

If you look at the new ZL1 Camaro TR6060, they have redesigned the shifter location and bolts directly to the internal shifter shaft.

Why would GM/Tremec have revised 2nd gear blocker ring? Why the redesign of the shifter location/mounting?

Exactly! Because they know if ZL1 customers cant shift their over $50k 580hp car they are going to have a big problem.

Hopefully a xmsn swap is possible between them both with some to no modification to the chassis or the xmsn

I wonder if anyone has had the issue i am having now:

I took my car in to have the 2nd gear synchos as well as carbon rings put in for 3rd and 4th gear. After I got it back, 4th gear was grinding terribly. So I took it back, they replaced 4th gear, 4th gear synchos, and the input shaft (apparently some teeth had been damaged).

Now 4th gear is fine, but 3rd gear is now grinding, but it's only grinding on a downshift (i.e. I am stuck in traffic and have to shift down to keep from slugging: no hard downshifts).

I have looked the invoice over, and they seemed to do everything required including using shims to adjust preload. Is my dealership just incompetent or could there be a different issue?

Any input is appreciated. I am moderately mechanically inclined and have read every thread about the tr6060 that's here, so I am up to date on the goings on.

Sound like someone screwed up during the rebuild. Take it back.
