But like Scott said, I don't think anything GM does is going to make you happy.

Well we still don't know anymore then when we started this.I think that was the point of the thread the fact nobody has any info on what is going on with the Camaro....I guess we will get what we get when we get it.I will just stay in the dark like everyone else and just hope some light will shine upon us before to long.Let's all play nice now....

Who ever told you that was an idiot. US preorders started that day but Canada was a month later. Even if true you some how think cars are made in the order the dealers in 4000 outlets wrote a "deal up" ?

I suspected when I started this thread there would be criticism of my comments. And I wanted to wait to get a sense of what the reaction would be before responding. But first, let me say up front, my sincere apologies if anyone was offended.
Here's my concern - as I look back on the prior threads and postings that there was a lot of excitement and good natured kidding around by the members and moderators about the 2010 Camaro. Even the threads about the ambient lighting were, well, "interesting".
But in the last few weeks the fun has been quickly slipping away. And I wanted to speak out to voice my concerns for them and myself. I DO want my car to be perfect. I DO want to get it when its fully baked and ready for prime time. BUT, we're all spending a lot of money for a relative unknown, all we have is some good(?) second hand info, but IN MY OPINION GM should have done more at the most critical time in its history, it should have been able to step up to the plate and knock one out of the park in following thru on its communication. And remember there are a couple of hundred members on this and other forums, but over 14,000 who have ordered. What do they think, where are they getting info from - correct or incorrect?
Anyway, thanks for letting me say my piece. You are all a great group and my prayers is that very soon each and every one of us will get our perfect children and we'll start posting pictures and boasting about them and their adventures. Tell us Sandi, HOW COULD GM HAVE IMPROVED ITS COMMUNICATION?

You're complaining but not offering solutions.

Here are ways that I have seen GM actually COMMUNICATE with us...

A. Most and foremost - FBODFATHER - He comes here, sacrifices what little free time he has and answers every one of our questions. He is a GM insider, and has never steered us wrong. If it wasn't for him, you'd be MORE in the dark than you feel that you are in now. Because of threads like this and other events that have occurred on this forum, I doubt we will ever see a car manufacturer reach out to its enthusiasts like this again. I guess we now know that there is a reason why Nissan doesn't do with with the 370z, Ford with the 'stang, etc.

B. Dealerships - From the dealers, they give us codes. Codes are simple. They indicate when the car is scheduled to be built, when it is built, when it is shipped, and then arrived at dealer/customer. I'm not sure what more you could want. A tracking beacon on the car so that you can see its every move?

So please tell us, what more could have GM done to improve communication?
