Because of this we have begun shipping our units out with diodes strapped across our relays, or actually included relays with diodes factory installed to combat this issue. I can almost 100% guarantee these $49-69 DRL harnesses that people are selling do not have a diode in them. Basically what they are selling you is two GM connectors with 6 wires between them in a black cable wrap. Inside you will find that the wire that feeds the sidemarkers is tied into the wire going to your DRL 12V terminal. I can't force people to purchase my harness, but I can tell you this, we stand behind our product 100% and have fixed any issues our customers have had with them.

I am going to be making a new thread about this and see if I can trouble shoot it.
You should check for loose terminals in the harness. Did you try removing it to see if everything still works like normal.

For curiosity, have you came to any general conclusion as to why some 2011's and 2012's have had the problem while most of them do not? As for me, your non-diode harness worked great on my 2011 and also works just fine, so far, on my 2012. I am still running the stock DRL bulbs, if that may have anything to do with it.

I've never heard of different electronics in the same model year car. Every car I have done the $2 harness has worked great.

I can give my customers your same explanation and not fix the problems they are having, or I could fix the problem and explain to people why it is happening. The reason of using a diode in OUR harness is not for backfeed issues, that is what the relay is for, it is used to maintain the voltage at 12V and not allow the voltage to spike or dip. Now can you explain why the voltage would fluctuate coming straight off of the battery? And secondly its not different electronics, small changes are made in systems throughout the same model year.

Well I never received my order from Override and got a received a credit back which it my account tonight by having to dispute a claim, oh well I tried.

I shouldn't have sold my original harness I previously ordered from them in early 2011 but sold it since I had planned on selling my Camaro.
