You are exactly right that 1000hp is too much for the street but still alot of fun. It kinda sucks to have that kind of power and not be able to use it on the street but then again that is what the track is for I guess.

In the meantime, the Hogan intake manifold is being fabricated. The new heads are done and they can start putting the engine together.

I also got an AMS-1000 boost controller last week.
Here is a teaser picture of my manifold installed on my engine. It is finally almost done...

Yessir! I can't wait.

I'm getting new heads too.

Mine should look something like that, but with an orange LSX block.

The orange block is the best.

That is a very, very sweet looking intake manifold. Looks like the Holley EFI base only with a different brand throttle top. Either way, really, really nice looking. Best I've seen so far.

One reason I was reluctant to give up the chrome maggie was the look. I then saw one of these and the guys at IPS said they could make it work on my engine. So, we looked through the Hogan catalog and picked one out.

I must admit, after seeing Boost6924's engine with that manifold on it, I'm REALLY glad I ordered one too!

BTW, his car is on the lift next to mine at IPS.

My manifold is build by HRE Induction. It features billet runners and other nice goodies. I can't wait to dyno it!

You had better call me when it's ready to go on the dyno. I would love to be there for that!

Can't blame you for that. That is a very sweet, and natural looking piece of jewelry sitting on the top of the engine. Nice piece of work for sure.
