I would have a hard time believing that. Whats gonna get people more excited?? Waiting for the car or driving the wheels off it?? I'll pick the ladder, thank you!!!

Same rediculous rumors used in 2009. It's not a marketing scheme. it's quality control

I often make my customers wait for their orders so that other potential customers will get in line to wait as well.

My source told me the same thing a couple days ago, I was going to call him in an hour or two and see if he found out why yet.

I also heard the same sort of thing but that they wanted to get a lot built before they shipped so the first few dealers could not jack the price like they did with the zr1
Also maybe just a rumor

Not true. They wouldn't tie up inventory for that! There is already tremendous built up demand and excitement for the car.

Agree with Dan, they would not hold the cars for that.
Most of the ZL1's are sold orders as well, and besides Scott has commented on the delay, it's QC.

OK so just talked to my source, the word on the street is that the ZL1 is currently on a "Quality Hold".

From what he says is that in the past when GM has issued this type of hold is generally has to do with a fit and finish issue or quality of manufactured parts sold to GM by a independent manufacture.

No offical word just the scuttle butt thats flying around
