My first was a 1984 Camaro Sport Coupe, in Charcoal Gray Metallic. A real beauty that served me well for 7 years and 112,000 miles. Good times!

I was 16 when I got my first camaro, it was a 69 ss vert back in 1976. It was the first car that I rebuilt with the help of my dad. We stripped her to the frame then rebuilt her. It was a labor of love !

Mine personally, 17. I was a senior in high school. it was an 84 or 85 Berlinetta. 305 with ttops.
We got the IROC I now own when I was 12. Bought it brand new in 1989. Just sent... don't want to offend anyone. |

19, the Chevy dealer that I got it from let his son drive it as a dealer car. He was killed in a motorcycle accident in Sturgis, SD. The hood of the car used to fly open suddenly with no warning, like driving down the highway. Loved that car though.

I was late 14 or early 15 when I bought a basket case of a 70 SS. It was safe to drive in about 6 months, but spent at least a year making it nice. Motor rebuild, body work, interior rehab, etc. Hay baling and grocery store money didn't go far. Luckily a family friend owned a junk yard and there were several there since a lot of folks couldn't handle them. "Slightly used" parts were cheap. I was one of the lucky ones that had a dad that was a car nut.

18 years old in 1974 when I got a 1969 Hugger Orange SS 4 speed, and my dad had to drive it home because I didn't know how to drive a stick yet. Haven't driven one without a stick since...
