Can anyone lookup 7539? I have the CGM stripes on my car as well.

i think another thing that is holding your cars behind is because of the battery recall i think i read in a thread that vins over 8k are ok but before they need to change it out because i recieved factory stripes and its on its way already. I got bayed 3 times.

Good news, bad news time. Which do you want first? Let's start with the good news...

...the good news is (remains) that the clog in the sink is cleared... cars with factory stripes are being treated with the first in/first out process and those that "fell through the cracks" are moving with the others. If you were getting factory stripes, then chances are you are now in the lot with my car... at the holding lot for the transportation company.

How's that for good news? Our cars are being processed and soon to be QC'd and on their way to their new homes. Hooray!

Now, onto the bad news. The bad news is that some of us will be in QC longer than we like. Why? Because of the battery cable? Yes, that's one reason but not the only reason. What's the other reason then? The power steering pumps.

The noisy power steering pumps, remember those? Well, they're for real and a real problem for those of us with a VIN lower than 5,000. In itself, it's not a huge problem to swap out a power steering pump... when you have one in stock to swap with that is. Stock is dwindling fast, if not exhausted and it could be a while before the stock is replenished. How long is a while? Who knows... a couple of days... a week... a month... heck, it might even mean that our beautiful cars will have to go back to the factory for repair!

How's that for bad news? The clog is cleared, the cars are rolling, but the parts they might need for QC are running short. Hooray (not)!

In all seriousness, I would rather have the car right than have it right now and end up in the shop right off the bat. So, I am actually going to take a very Zen-like approach here. The balance that I am looking for will come... and given the stress and points of pain to date, I have no doubt the vehicle will be incredible when it does arrive, thus delivering me the balance I seek.

Well according to my salesman my car was shipped on 5/7 with a delivery date of 5/18.
As of 5/19, no word from the dealer.

I'm almost afraid to check and see if my car has actually shipped. Because GM customer service has been telling me (as of 5/15) it hasn't been shipped.

My ground effects came in to the dealer and they got invoiced for the car on the 11th of may . he said it's usually 7 to 10 working days from the time they get invoiced! #2712 hopefully It will be here by friday! I think Our stripes should be free for the screw up they had! but at this point I would be happy to get my car some time soon. lol

Given the proximity of our VIN's, I am willing to bet you are near mine (in front I'd say) but subject to the same pains... namely, the battery cable and the power-steering pump. Let's keep our fingers-crossed that the suppliers come through sooner, rather than later, and that our cars don't end up having to go back to the factory for repair.

Actually, no. Those pics are from a different lot... back in Oshawa, long done with factory striping (which is handled in Whitby). Those cars are awaiting transportation... to the dealer for sale/delivery to customers, or to QC for review, or to a third-party for recall repairs or, potentially for a worst case scenario, back to the factory for repairs.
