Now...we have NO idea how this happened, but ya'll are going to love the results.

I was told my car dyno'd at 416hp a while back...but we figured that was flywheel and it still needed to be broken in. Well, Scott from Stainless Works and I got to talking today through email. Here's a snippet of what he had to say....

I don't know what to think of this, but NO ONE tuned the car. Tom didn't do anything nor did Stainless. So, how in the world this car is getting "approximately" 490 at the crank is BEYOND ALL OF US.

All my charts are in Excel format. It'll take a few to figure out how to do the graphs for all to see. But, the #'s for REAR WHEEL HP so far are:

Stock:

416hp and 349tq @ 6259rpm

(torque was greatest at 4609rpm w/ 402tq)

Catback:

423hp and 355tq @ 6255rpm

(torque was greatest at 4605rpm @ 407tq)

PEAK HP w/ HEADERS AND ALL:

440hp and 377tq @ 6123rpm

(torque was greatest at 4673rpm at 417tq)

REMEMBER......

THESE #'s ARE GOING TO BE CHECKED ON A DYNOJET. We are NOT sure if the #'s are correct, but this is what was told to us. AGAIN...DO NOT FREAK OUT! THE #'s WILL be run again to verify.

I explained that this was odd and thought his #'s were off. He said,
if you have a frankenstein car, that really makes that kind of power stock...

im going to punch you... :slice:

Tag, and company, this is a Mustang dyno. Those are the absolute worse examples of a dyno I've ever come across.

God this sucks, I'm not trying to be the pessimist here but it's only fair to point out how consistently AWFUL Mustang dynos are. They do require operator input to do their job and they "guess" about power instead of giving the numbers like a conventional dyno. I've been at shows (plural!) that had Mustang dynos there and people were getting 600 ft/lbs of torque on their bot-on 4-bangers...then I watched a mildly upgraded (still stock twins) Supra pull like 1200 ft/lbs. No kidding at one show right after watching one of these Honda owners get all excited, I watch a classic V8 get told it only had 195 ft/lbs but 800 rwhp. In natrual fashion, the ricer believed the numbers and proceeded to high-five his buddies.

In other words, I wish you the best Tag that would be awesome...but don't hold your breath by any means.

I think an important thing to remember are the gains from the mods' Sure, the baseline numbers can be fudged (I won't speculate if that was/wasn't the case) but the proof is in the improvement of the parts, and it seems like there was a good improvement.

Respectfully...

Is there a SW rep on this site? I'd like to see a baseline/untuned/tuned dyno list for the 1 7/8th version of your headers as well!
