....and the word is, that ZL1 for 2013 are eligible for the 60 day or $500 program. If your dealer has opted into the program ALL cars are included. The exceptions are '12 - '13 Sonic and Spark which are only $250.

The only way your dealer can deny you this incentive program is if they aren't participating in it at all.

Remember to bring your patience w/ you to your dealer. There is much confusion on this issue. You get more flies w/ honey than w/ vinegar.

Do people actually buy cars and give them back after 60 days? Seems like a crazy thing to offer. Also don't understand why this is exciting? I would think haggling gets you a better deal. I suppose dough off a zl-1 is nice though...if dealers have them.

Really?

So the part where I mentioned that if a dealer is participating in the program then ALL cars are included.... They can't pick and choose, they are either all in or all out.

So, you can buy a '12 ZL1 from a participating dealer at GM preferred pricing, plus an extra $500 off isn't exciting? Especially since most dealers that have the 2012 ZL1's are marking them up.

That's pretty exciting to many people. Agree?

GM preferred pricing sounds like it's the same as GMS pricing. There is a set discount for employee pricing on any vehicle based on dealer invoice. Most times it's like $200 above invoice.

They had a ZL1 at the dealer when I bought my SS and it had the 10k market demand markup on it. I'm pretty certain if I had chose to buy it with GMS pricing that 10k markup would have disappeared.

There is no more GMS vs. Supplier pricing. It's all one program called GM Preferred Pricing, which is the same Military/Recent College Grad/Credit Union Member program.

and yes, if the dealers w/ the 10K mark ups are participating in the program they HAVE TO sell you the car at the preferred price plus the 60 day buyback or $500.

Yeah I bought my car June 1st and it was a GMS deal.

I Wonder if GMS will come back after this offer expires.

Maybe they called it that, and used that old terminology, but there is no GMS pricing. You most likely got the preferred pricing, and the dealer called it GMS.

Let me clarify. On the ZL-1, it is exciting to get it w/o markup. Otherwise, you could likely get a better deal on a chevy without it. Good for people that don't want to haggle I suppose.

I haven't read this topic, but it's a lame gimmick. Just offering the student/supplier discount to everyone, I bought my 2LS for $1,000 under the "confidence" price...and they weren't even ramping up for 2013 models at the time. I'm not even including the rebates I got, by the way.
