I would have walked out the door if I did not get the price that was agreed to. If I were you I would start by contacting the customer service rep who posted in this thread. The only ammo you have left now is the survey or reviews/complaints. You already gave them the money.

I would fill out the survey truthfully with how I felt I was treated. I would also include a letter along with the survey describing what took place, including working with the service rep and how that went. If I felt like I was being bribed into giving a good review with the list of things you described I would include that in the letter (not sure if they were trying to bribe you for a review or just trying to get you off their backs). I would also take a picture of all of the stuff that they gave me and include that in there as well.

Thank you all for the advice. Unfortunately I can't change the mistakes I personally made, however I'm still trying to decide how to deal with the upcoming situation...

As many stated if the salesman knows he is going to get a bad survey he wont send one out. He will either fill one out on his own as the buyer or ignore it.
I bet that your math teacher also finish your SATS .

This is what I would do:

take all the free stuff you want and then give them a bad review.... and tell them i didnt put "id give you a good review" in writing.

Doesn't Chevy currently have a take it back if you don't like it deal going on??
Get the free stuff in writing and signed, then rip their heads off in the survey. Pay back is a bit.......

If you were promised 38k you should get 38k. If you don't get what was promised to you give them the review that you feel that they earned.

Honestly, I don't understand all of these people who "don't want to give a bad review". Why reward shitty customer service and salesmanship...they will never learn and are just going to continue this shady business practice...

I would say contact GM first and try to sort it out! - Hopefully they can do something for you! If not, I would say try to work out a deal with the dealership, try to get at least 3k worth of free goodies or something near that, if you feel you cannot then I guess the review has to be done.....

I didn't read the entire thread, but the worst part about this whole thing was the part where you ACTUALLY BOUGHT THE CAR!!!

Sorry to hear about the situation.

Honestly, if they were dishonest like that with me, I would have left and started over with a new dealer. Someone not party to the fact you needed a car.
