I don't see the jack, but there is an AUX button on the radio, so I'm sure there will be an AUX input jack somewhere.

ButI think there talking about is keyless start, where you just need to have the key on your person and push a button to start the car.

,

GM's remote start has many safety interlocks on it, It will not operate if the car is not locked first, then if it is unlocked any way but with the key fob it will shut off. and even if you get into the car it is locked out of going into gear until you put the key in.
Also if the car is running without the key in the ignition and turned on and you open the hood it will shut off..another plus is that it is only going to run for about 10 minutes before it shuts down automatically..
I know this is true on the HHR with Remote start, I have run through all these senarios and that is what happens.

It can work on a manual transmission but it would have to be interlocked not to start unless the car was left in neutral with the parking brake on.

Just think about it, which is safer... to leave your car either locked or unlocked with the keys in it running? or locked with no keys running?
More cars are stolen when people leave the KEYS IN after starting to warm up. won't happen with the GM remote start system so it is better than not having one if you want to warm your car.

So unless other manufacturers do not have these features I don't see why it would be illegal to have a remote start. Maybe aftermarket remote start is illegal...but i don't think the factory remote starts would be. it is standard on the HHR when you get an automatic transmission...

I don't think they would use the same symbol for that as they do the door lock and unlock button.....

Otherwise, I can't think of a new car these days with single lamps like on the concept.
Can you say 'Mustang"?
Just because there is a single housing does not mean it cannot have multiple elements in the bulb just like the old sealed beams.
