There are a few of us who have added the personal touch to the rear of the car. Removing the rear trim rings is a nice custom touch because you can always put them back.

it seems like removing them would leave a noticeable gap around them that you'd see into. Can you take some good close pictures that show the gap or lack thereof?

The gap is about 1/4 inch all around. It would be noticeable on the lighter colors and the non RS tail lights.

The best colors to do this is VC, RJT, IBM and black to minimilize the space. Unless you really look closely, it is not noticeable on mine and everyone thinks the car came from the factory as I have finished it.

If you get a chance could you take a closeup of the tails?

Love what you've done with it!

No offense, but without the mail slot ppl are going to think you just put ss fascia on your v6. Wouldn't bother me though.

That's a good thing...then you blow their doors off.

The way I see it, it's always better to look like less and perform more than to look like more and perform less.

If you ever get to know me, you'll quickly realize that I don't give a shit about what people think of my cars.

Absolutely beautiful.... Very nice touches all over.

I guess the non-matching Red SS goes away when the new grill gets here.
Can't wait to see a big White SS smak in the middle of the new grill.

Great pic! Shows how much bigger the tail light looks without the trim ring. Be my guest and grab anything I've done. Please post a picture when you have removed all the trim rings as I'd love to see how the red looks.

I agree! Maybe the black tailpan isn't even necessary to fix the taillight styling! Post some pictures of what the whole car looks like from different angles without any trim rings!!!
