Can we all just agree that his G35s is the fastest Camaro in the world?

102 mph would be acceptable in high DA conditions (3000 ft.+ DA). But in 500 ft. DA conditions, 102 mph traps is pretty slow (and way off the pace for a Camaro SS). As mentiond before. I watched a bone stock L99 A6 run 13.3s @ 105 mph in 88 degree weather with high humidity (+2000 ft DAs - corrected time for DA was 12.9s @ 108 mph). Lets find a slow L99 A6 to race and then brag about almost keeping up. |

Because I recently read about the "348 hp" Genesis doing 13.8 @ 102 mph in a comparo with a V6 Mustang manual. There's no way it's making 50 more hp then the G35 or V6 Mustang.... It should be trapping 106-108 mph at the very least if it's truly making 350 horsepower. A 3600 lb. 328 hp G37 traps 105-106, a 3300 lb. 330 hp 370z traps 107-108. Yet a 3400 lb. Genesis 3.8 only traps 102-104 with 20-30 more horsepower ? Sounds suspicious, eh? |

It was tuned.....and it was a 2010 with 306 hp auto....better da level and realistic track conditions unlike your area. Down here, I estimate your car would run about 13.8 to 14.0.......stop by anytime to prove the theory

I wouldn't call a 500 DA and 2.11 60 foot unrealistic track condtions, just saying. Now if I had like a 1.9x 60 foot it would show that the track had great prep I would understand.... Or if the DA was, at the minimum 300 or less. It was 40 degrees out and the DA was still 500 man. Just goes to show how bad the air is there. |

![]() Tulsa Raceway makes thunder valley look bad, I mean look at the bleachers.... Look like they're from a small high school football stadium from 1967. |

Best DA I ever raced in at Thunder Valley was 2500 and that is between 3 cars and 10+ years. To give you an idea of the DA at that track my car runs low 12's at about 113. My DA corrected times are 11.7 at over 117mph. If the DA was 500 then that would be as perfect as you could get at that track. The track prep is pretty bad and unless you have skinny fronts you just put water on the starting line because of the way they have their water box. I always try to drive around it and then back the rear tires into the water box but its damn dear impossible at that track. I have no idea why they have it like that. I can never load my converter at that track. If I leave at anything other than idle I will just spin with my power and drag radials. I guess I cant complain too much with that track as its only 15 bucks and they dont bother you with tech or a helmet, just dont expect any hero runs there. I ran a low 12 with my full bolt on 4th gen and could not stop smiling for a week because I knew how bad that track is. I would always rather go to Tulsa but its a bit of a drive. Tulsa is about 600 elevation vs TV's 1100. Track is way better as well. I have no proof but I have always thought the trap speed indicators there were off. Could just be the sh!t DA it always has though IDK.
Congrats for the very fast time with the G35 especially at that track but I am 99percent sure that L99 was in low octane mode. I am also pretty sure his 60ft was due to the way they have the track setup. If the guy was a novice he could have been trying to launch with wet tires. With that good of DA he should have been trapping about 108mph. My car also traps 2mph faster with a sub 2:0 60ft. If I blow my launch and spin resulting in a +2.0 60ft my trap suffers. I think this might be due to the trans short shifting from 1st to 2nd. That might have happened to him as well. If I had been there I would have told that guy to go over and put a couple gallons of unleaded race gas in it. Pull the #5 and #20 fuse and let it sit for an hour. Avoid water box as much as possible and clean tires off. Before I got my tune my car would get stuck in that mode as well here with our fuel. I now pay more for this place on Memorial that sells 93octane..

RS Fuels ftw. Ehh 108 trap speed? My friend's 300 whp/ 360 lb ft Trifecta tuned I/e Cobalt T/c traps 106-107 at thunder valley, it only weighs about 2800 lbs... That's a significantly better power to weight then a stock L99; he raced I/e tuned SRT8(best time this season was 13.4 @ 104.9 mph; charger did 13.2 @ 108 last season but seems to not being running as well this season) on and walks by him past 100 mph too. I am a part of local car group and we have a list with names/traps/et's.... The cars that trapped 107-109 in our group are a 420 whp supercharged Cobra(13.2 @ 109.9 mph), full bolt on 6.0 GTO(I/headers/full exhaust; 13.1 @ 108 mph) manual, full bolt on tuned 2010 mustang gt(ran 12.9 @ 107-108 mph), stock 2011 mustang gt 5.0 auto(13.1 @ 106-107 mph), and this 300 whp(dyno at Abel racing) Cobalt. ![]()
