Progress! All bolted in and in the process of cutting the carpet and fitting the panels. Harness install tomorrow hopefully and be done with this pita! Next up will be a custom rear seat delete panel and custom notching/fitting of the Lloyd mats to cover up my carpet hacking lol!

Here's the harness installed. I used the factory points for the lap belts. The sub belt is bolted into the floor under the drivers seat with a plate available from RPM Rollbars. The shoulder harness bosses in the rollbar are threaded for 1/2" x 20 fine thread. 1" length should suffice.

Install complete. Minus the rear seat delete in the near future.

Thanks Rick! It's a very time consuming install that's for sure.

Here's what I put around the rear bar cut outs in the panels. Black plastic door edge trim. Tip: put it in place before you put the panel back in lol. It's a bitch to get on there when already in place but doable.

Hi All. I was hoping that there would be some sort of "light at the end of the tunnel" in here that would help me get this cage done. Im not new to Gen5s, and have been building them ever since they came out. Anybody remember the Hess ZR1? Ya, that was me. Anyways, I read through the RPM webpage, and realized they are owned by M&H. I hope its not the same M&H that makes wire harnesses. Someone from RPM needs to get on here and read all the issues people are having with these cages. I usually build my own, but this customer already had this one purchased.

First let me say this. The instructions are CRAPPPPPPP. Literally. some of the install pics arent even from a gen5. Figured 1 and 7 arent a 5th gen. Ugh. And how do the plates and those spacer bars go? In the front, to go over the sound deadening? Ya thats sturdy. And the rear wheel arch pieces, is there supposed to be a 3/4" gap on the bottom edge. WTF. These are a decent amount of money you would think that they would have a decent jig to make these and some better instructions. Even the products I sell for a few hundred buck have AWESOME instructions, good photos, and make sense!!!

Ok now for some pics.

This is the car its going in, not exactly stock.
[IMG][/IMG]

I dont know whats supposed to go under the front edge of the main hoop (behind the front seats). Theres like an inch of gap, and its got a taper to it. Again, WTF. No expalnation, no pics, and the pic they do have is of a FLAT floor from a different car.

Then at the wheel tub at the rear. Its lined up like it says in the instructions, but I can fit my fingers between the tub and the bracket. The top touches. I dont get it......

And what are these for and where do they go? It looks like they go under all 4 bolt holes for the front doorbar floor mounts?

Ok im calling it a night.
