Not going to lie, I saw the original Transformers movie. In the scene where Bumblebee transforms into the current generation Camaro, my jaw dropped. Right then I knew my next vehicle was going to be a Camaro.

I'm 28 and I've owned 6 cars. 86 325E BMW. Euro Spec 87 325i convertible. 88 535i. 90 gmc Sierra. 05 4 banger accord. 2010 civic lxs. and now my Camaro m6 1LS. I've never had a car with more than 160 hp. I wanted a G37s but couldn't afford one. I went in and bought a Hyundai Genesis 3.8 coupe, and right before they handed me the keys they realized they fudged on the trade in value of my civic and told me it would "only" be 150 more a month.... I walked out. Next day I found a black v6 Camaro with 13k on it and thought i'd take her for a spin. I've honestly always been an American car hater. I like the 67 hard top mustang... but otherwise I've never wanted an American built car. Only reason I got the sierra was because my neighbor sold it to me for 700 bucks and I had been without a car for 4 years. Long story short, 200 yards down the road, I was sold on the Camaro. Anyone that knows me now hates me cause she's all I talk about. I don't mean to be cocky or obnoxiously proud... I just honestly love my car.

camaros are one of the better looking cars out there at an affordable price range.
1. good looking car 2. reasonably reliable 3. great marketing and product awareness from Chevy.

I have had a variety of cars since I started driving, but by far my favorite was my 1999 Pontiac TransAm WS6, that car looked like it was doing 100 sitting in the driveway, it just looked mean, it would go sideways when I pressed the gas pedal down, it was just awesome. A week after paying her off, she got totaled by a chevy Silverado K3500 with a triple axle trailer and 3 tons of wood in said trailer. He hit me hard enough that the car spun and I tagged the trailer as it went by. So I took the money for that and put it down on a 2006 MonteCarlo SS (awesome front wheel drive). Had that for about a year until one day I woke up and said to myself, I have to drive this again. Went down to the Chevy dealership, found my SIM 2012 2LT and drove off the lot the same day, I still have a stupid permagrin when I drive that car. Eventually I will get a V8, but the V6 actually has more horses than my T/A had. BTW, I work in IT and am 43, so not a midlife crisis car. That would be a Charger Hellcat.

I got mine to survive the impending zombie apocalypse. That and because it holds enough fuel to drive from Barter Town to Tommorow-morow Land without having to stop and "just walk away".

Well....guess our screen name says something!
![]() For us...when considering the Camaro going from my wife's second Prius... The mid life crisis thing was a joking thing to say to one another. My wife use to commute. A lot of dudes will bash a Prius but not for nothing....it is a remarkable impressive car. That's why ya see a lot of them. Better gas mileage then any of my motorcycles!!!.... & fit 5 people, 2 suit cases & bags in the hatch. Drive far on a few bucks, etc.... Well....my wife now works 3 blocks away. I have always had toys. Motorbikes, quads, jets ski, boat, jeep. Muscle cars was a thing of my HS years in the late 80's / 90's. I had a bunch of Camaro's & Trans am's from the late 70 / 80's gens. Recently I wanted a old car in the toy collection. Well after looking at a few that were junk for a lot of money,,,I planted a seed / offered a deal with my wife! Honey...let's trade the Prius in!!! I'll give you the money I was gonna blow on a old car. You match my money....& we get a new turn key hot rod, special edition Camaro!!!! Well after schooling her, that I'm not getting a 6 cylinder. Stick shift is fun factor, rag top is fun factor,....she was starting to get it. Then further more....hurst shifter, dual mode exhaust is desirable stuff as well!!! Since were both from NY originally, the Spring edition being white with blue top is NY Yankees colors, that set the hook in finding a left over one. We actually found 3 of them out in CT & took the best one back to Florida. Mid life crisis....not really. more of a joke. We are in our 40's so guess that's around mid life give or take, but....another way to put it is that you only live once. The car was expensive. Whatever. I forgot how much I missed driving a v8 pony car from 20 years ago. I feel like I'm younger a bit. My wife has had a few nice cars but this one is the nicest. We are loving the new ride!!

Got my first Camaro ('67) when I was 16 in 1976. Bought a '69 Camaro a few years later. In 2006 I saw the concept Camaro and thought holy s**t that's cool. Saw the Transformers movie and knew what I had to have for my next car. I always wanted to drive a car that was in a movie (or a replica movie car). Bumblebee is perfect for me and there aren't too many like mine out there. :-)

I traded a perfectly nice, 1 year old car to get my first Camaro in 2012, and I've bought two more since. I love everything about them.
