No emails being pushed

This just started happining for me. no notifications from C5, I get maybe one or two out of 15 or 20. I can tell when i am missing a notification, because my phone will beep (tapatalk) but my email will not.

Just so everyone knows ... there may or may not be 2 sets of e-mail problems. The first is not getting anything (which seems to be the case for some going back to May of last year & what this thread is originally about). It appears to primarily affect people who have been using personal or otherwise rare/uncommon e-mail addresses.

The second is a screwed up notification system detailed in another thread (this one here). It popped up in late December. If you have stopped getting daily notices & only some instants, then this is your problem. To make it even worse ... it affects gmail, hotmail (which I use), and probably other e-mails as well thereby cancelling out the workaround that we came up with a few months ago.

I have no idea if these are separate or related issues. I don't have a clue what the underlying cause is, let alone how to fix it, and even if I did I can't do anything about it because all the back-end stuff is handled by administrators. I don't know when or if this stuff will be fixed. I don't know any satisfactory alternatives, because nothing that I've tried is anywhere near as good as what I'm used to doing.

I wish I could end this with something encouraging. But I can't.

i also checked my settings to make sure they have not changed, and I still have "instant email notifications" selected.....

Sounds like the second one, the one I put up the link for. Its the same thing that I'm going through.

And yes ... it is very frustrating.

i set up tap talk just for pm and now i am getting emails lol... was something fixed

I think we understand, but the question is why aren't the administrators looking in to fixing it? I'm assuming they have support for the forum software and should be able to open a case? I know we're preaching to the choir, so please take my comments as trying to help, but if I were an admin and most of my user base weren't getting notifications, I'd be all over that. It's a pretty base forum requirement. Again, if I can help let me know. I have a lot of experience with this stuff but would obviously have to be granted access to take a look.

i am a administrator on my club board and had this issue as well.. people where going nuts over it all fixed now

Me too, but no way either of us will get a crack at this board. LOL Not that I could fix it anyway.

If you are not receiving email sent to you via a contact form on your site, the chances are that you are using a third party email solution, and your server is trying to deliver the mail locally. To rectify this, you just need to disable mail on the domain via Plesk or cPanel.

Don't think so. I had someone PM me the other day because it had been a week since they asked me a question on the forums and I hadn't responded. I had no clue they even mentioned me in the thread.
