That's awesome! Badges add 20hp.
I am considering the old style script logos though... love those. Maybe even a vintage "Type LT" badge like my 75 had. |

OP - I read half the replies, and my head hurt... I think your best bet for a mean looking LS is buy the RS package and add the front splitter and side ground effects as well as the hood and possibly rock guards (mudflaps).

Heard putting a badge adds 3 hp and a sticker adds 2hp and 5lbs of torque

Honestly it amazes me how many times I get asked if my car is a V8 after they've heard it....lol like are you serious? Sounds nothing like a v8
As for appearence, ss parts with no badges is okay. But putting badges just makes the owner look bad. And honestly my v6 gets the same mpg if not worse than any of my buddies with V8s

To the Poster of this thread. It's really simple here. Do you want an V8 SS or not?
If you do, then buy an SS. If cost is an issue, then buy USED. I have never bought a new car. Cars depreciate like hell. Even a 1 or 2yr old car with low miles will be hugely discounted. Plus here in Canada, we both know about the beautiful government support we have (tax= 13% here). So why give more to the government on a higher price tag. Sure you may not get the 0% financing a new car has but you can get a line of credit or loan for reasonable amount. I got my 2011 2SS/RS last year with only 16,000km on it for $34,700 and they are now less. It's a vert so the retail on it in 2011 in Canada was $53,000 +tax. Never winter driven so pretty much a new car by mileage and environmental wear. It's the only way I could have afforded an SS and I couldn't be happier. It's now 9months later and I only owe $19K on it whereas people buying new will take 5yrs to pay it off. My brother on the other hand doesn't care about anything except the outside appearance of what he's driving so he just picked up a 2012 1LT for $22,000. Up to you but it sounds like you want an SS if you want it to look like one. J |

This thread reeks of insecurity. The OP did its job unfortunately even though it was already pointed as being being a troll

Funny you should mention this... Back in December, I rented a V6 Camaro in Florida. I had it for a whole week. Every where I went, people would compliment me on the car, then the next thing they'd say is.. "Wow, beautiful car, is it the V8?" When I would say, "Nope, it's a 6 cyl" they'd shrug and say, "Oh, nice car anyway." ...Then they'd walk away. Like I had won the consolation prize. I own an SS and I get compliments every single day. No one has ever asked if it is a V8. I guess they already know. Which makes me think people just like to annoy V6 owners by asking the question. It also makes me understand why a lot of guys who own a V6 want to upgrade. The constant questions about engine size get annoying.
