Well, the prices are not the same. Remaining inventories, take for instance this convertible Zl1, its close to 46.7. So it not comparing apple to apples. Dealers may take further discounts to ensure they get the remaining Gen 5 off the lot to ensure allocations of Gen 6. Just saw a Coupe Zl1 go for 44 at Friendly as well. Lowest I have seen here in the DFW has been 58.5 with a few non AC as low as 53.

But, less or not, Z/28 will always be my preference. As far as owning both, the Z/28 isn't as ostentatious as people claim it is.

Hey there, been lurking for a while and finally pulled the trigger on an Ashen Gray Z28 while the iron was hot. Man... how I missed the LS7 (had an 08' Z06)! Really helpful stuff on the forum and seems like a great bunch of guys!

Thank you! Car has A/C & radio, I am getting the front bumper, rockers, and rear fenders clear filmed as we speak, those Trofeo's kick up some serious gravel. I also ordered the short guards from ZL1addons as well

As for the deal, I think I did pretty well, I negotiated price to $58k OTD (our sales tax is only $300 here in SC). On top of that I used $1500 of my GM card points. Really feel like I got an amazing machine at a great price. Planning to get her to the track next month!

One thing to do is never let a good friend drive your Z/28, I did that this past weekend, car came back fine, guy knows how to drive, the bad was for him, last night I get a text, with a pic of him in front of the Z/28 he went to buy, and it the same color as I have,LOL.

Yes, you got a good deal, and you will enjoy every minute! You only pay $300 in tax in South Carolina but then you pay an ad valorem tax every year don't you? Plus plates? They get you somewhere else as I recall.
The clear film is PPF (paint protection film). My installer has been using the new 3M Pro Series Film which is self-healing similar to Expel Ultimate. I've had it on a few of my recent vehicles and am very happy with it compared to others.

And you are absolutely correct, they get us on vehicle tax every year. It still works out much cheaper for people that turn over vehicles semi-frequently
Thankfully, I just paid the yearly tax from the car I transferred my plate from, no Z28 tax for a year!

Great guys to deal with, no BS. I traded my 2010 CTS-V there for a ZL1 and they now service my 2012 CTS-V.
That's a good deal for the ZL1. $46K for any brand new ZL1 is a smoking deal.

I'm convincing a coworker to check some out. He's looking at an SS today, I gave him a ride. Now's the time to buy for sure.

Z28's aren't a deal until they're selling for <$45,000. They're worth less than a ZL1, so until they're valued at less then one they'll have trouble selling. Show me a $44,000 Z28, that's a deal.

Go drive a Z/28. Until you've done that you're not qualified to comment. The idiocy you continue to post proves that...
