monstertodd and camaro67......propose a better way to get the job done?

Wait for GM to fix it? If you believe this, you should sign up for the new stealth Obama Arizona Border Guard.

Sure it's a slime bag lawyer trick, but it is true most women DO NOT have the view with that on the pavement passenger seat unless they are playing in the WNBA.

#1 It isn't that much of an issue to get your panties in a wad over.
#2 Fbodfather already stated that GM is aware of the issue and they're working on a retrofit solution.
#3 My wife is short, but sits on a small pillow, problem temporarily solved.
#4 No need to get GM's attention on this issue, they are already aware.
#4 I can wait for GM to fix it because it isn't THAT big of a deal. (small inconvenience for my wife, but in the whole scheme of things, it's a pretty small issue.
#5 If GM never corrects the issue, it sucks, but life WILL go on.

I know many of you will continue to over simpify this issue so that you can feel ok about making this mod.

My points are as follows

1. Don't

2. It takes time and is more complex than you all are thinking to engineer, test and put this change in to production.

Point 1 is my opinion take it for what it's worth to you. Point two is simply the facts of the situation
Your point is well taken, we all risk safety unless GM leads the way!
We should ALL start a petition thread!

Lawyer pipes in

I like the letter proposed, you do have a point in what you are saying. Sometimes you guys are too funny.

I am a lawyer and have been so for a long time. G.M. does have a bit of a problem with this auto. The sight of vision for the passenger is extremely limiting. They really made a stupid mistake in a 40,000 auto not to offer a passenger power seat. After all, Its the passenger that may be the next potential buyer. Someone just wasnt thinking about the big picture. Anywhoo, still love the car

By the way, all you guys that are carrying around an extra pillow for your girlfriends, well maybe you should thank GM that could really come in handy, hahahahhaha

So how do we get GM to move on a retro seat modification for the 100k 2010 Camaro owners??

Already done. Refer to Fbodfathers post a few months ago. This is a known customer complaint. Noted as early as driving Number 3 to California in 08.

OK can you find the post, and is Fbodfather providing updates as to the progress made?

I also asked fbodfather on this very issue a few weeks back, and he indicated that yes, it is being worked on, but it's not ready for the 2011's or retrofit yet.

Sucks trying to get the seat back in the sweet spot for shifting after the wife adjusts it. Can't complain to her, it's her car. (even if I put most of the miles on it) She wants to trade me for the truck. Not a chance!

...doubt there is an easy way to retrofit Memory seats into the car... that may be a new-car addition only...

See post #51 in this thread from September 2009 from Fbodfather.

I have not seen or heard of any updates on progress.

He drops on this site as a courtesy and to get keep in touch with the community. He's not obligated to provide us with anything. GM has heard the complaints and they are doing something about it. I think that's a pretty good job.
