i read somewhere where gm changed some parts pressure plate or bearing something like that so if gm changed something isnt that acknowledgement of a problem

It is true that some people have received new clutch/pressure plate assemblies, but that seems to be strongly dependent on the dealer you have service it. The problem is that Chevy has not openly admitted its a problem, nor issued a TSB. Look thru the other posts, we all get the same line, "I'm sorry to hear about that sir", and " We've never heard of this problem before".

i guess what i meant was on the production line, i got a call from the dealer that a ss 6spd came in i went to look at it i couldnt drive it but started it pumped the clutch a couple of times and put it in gear and the clutch was engaging at the low end of the pedal felt pretty good, i know i wasnt popping the clutch or driving was just trying to get a feel one other thing couldnt see the clutch resevoir does it share it with the master cylinder thanks

The brakes and clutch do share a reservoir. My clutch engages pretty good at first start up, its when it warms up that it gets screwy.

If your getting the run around on this ... My 2010 SS is just starting to have the low peddle @ 12k and I will need to call the dealer ..... I have a contact at GM ....call Russell Dowdell 313-667-7153 and state that the dealership is giving you a run around and explain to him the issue. This is how I got them to fix the wing chip issue and had a TSB created for it.
