They even go as far to say.. There is more that I know but can't tell you...

Even that LethalGarage knob is pretending he knows

I posted it in the camaro7 about that

Everyone's citing the same anonymous source and those who aren't cite their own anonymous source. Until GM itself reveals anything it'll all be he said/she said.

- properly set mirrors
- blind spot indicators on mirrors
- back up camera to park.

83,000 miles total in gen6. Driven every day, snow, rain, dark, light. ZERO accidents. This is so over exaggerated
It is 100% an issue. If pretty much every journalist points it out then it’s probably true. I’ve had 2 Camaros. Yes, I can see out of it what I need to see but it is far worse than the competition. Until you drive other sports coupes, you won’t see (no pun intended) just how bad the Camaro visibility is. If they do the same high belt line crap again, the 7th gen will fail. When I sit in a mustang I feel like I’m in a fish bowl. Same thing with a C6 corvette as it has a far lower belt line.

I can overlook poor visibility if I enjoy the car enough from a driving perspective, but most folks buying cars aren’t enthusiasts and if they feel like they are sitting in a bunker with slits for windows, they will pass on it again and it will get discontinued again.

I don’t have a problem with it either

Then again i started driving at 13 on a 1985 Eldorado with an even thinner slit rear window, extremely thick C pillars, a 6 foot long hood, blind spots all over, and no parking assists or cameras whatsoever

They said the same thing about the 5th Gen and the 4th Gen ect ect

When you get in for the first few drives its an issue....once you get accustomed its not a problem.

WTF do they want a 4x4 truck lift and cab?

I’ve been saying that for years. I can see what I NEED to see in the Camaro. I can see BETTER in a Mustang or Chargallenger. Setting mirrors properly eliminates the blind spots. And for some of us, letting the top down improves visibility a lot.

For a while my daily was a 2012 Cadillac SRX. If you want to talk about A-Pillar obstruction, drive a 2nd generation SRX.

I agree, my main issues are tight parking lots with islands (have to really pay attention to your location), angled intersections, seeing cars from right (you need to pre position the car straight as possible), cutting across a two lane road from the left, double and triple checking someone isn’t walking perpendicular to my path of travel, remembering to not pull too close to traffic signals (or else you can’t view them). Not a big deal for me, but there’s definitely a compromise / some getting use to when moving between vehicles.

Situational awareness comes to mind when driving any car, motorcycle, what have you. If you get that uncomfortable trying to drive said vehicle, pick something else…

I enjoyed driving my 23SS. The visibility wasn’t great, but it was just fine after driving it a while…

The Dodge charger is awful. It looks like what it is- an oversized EV platform with a gas engine added because nobody wanted the POS EV.

What has me excited is the thought of a supercharged version of the 6.7… I missed the boat on a bright yellow ZLE. That mistake will be corrected given the opportunity, but if they get too greedy, a C8 grand sport might make more sense. MUST be a coupe!

I agree with most of that. If GM makes a car that makes us have to do those things again, it will get discontinued again. The AVERAGE CAR BUYER, will not make those compromises. Most sports cars aren’t being purchased by enthusiasts. They are bought by casuals who just want something that looks good, is quick and usable daily without compromises.

As a car guy, I don’t want to see that happen again. If there’s no competition, what’s left stops improving (s650 Mustang). Hoping the charger gets a V8 and this Camaro story is true so they have to battle/beat each other again.

That’s exactly what people did and what GM needs to avoid happening again.

Since the thread kind of divulged into a visibility discussion, the main reason is high silks and rear tail requirements thanks to federal regulations.

No one EVER complained about visibility out of a 3rd gen f-body. Because it was mostly glass above your elbows.

Style and modern regulations are hard to balance and if it was me I’ll take style 100% if the time over a “safer” car.

Throw some airbags in an ‘67 Camaro and it’s good.
