I just installed a set on my ss today. From wheels up to wheels down took two and a half hours. They look great and sound awesome with my muffler delete. For the price, you simply can't go wrong , everything you need comes with the headers ( except the high temp loctite)

Sounds like an excellent idea to include this in the next batch eh!

Thank you for the kind words and praise. Post up some pics here on the thread if you'd like.

It's all kinds of love for the DT LT's up in here!

Sure would be nice to more dyno results from these thins
Seems like alot of guys have bought them but NO DYNO's other than RPM doing 1.

I do like them, shame no one can put up a few sheets.

I agree, I'll post up dyno graphs till the cows come home if they weren't viewed as slanted or fixed.

Not getting how you can fix the dynos and expect to stay in business. Just install the part, tune it, and report the truth.

That's what is going to sell the products. Aside from us here at Southwest Speed, how many ads do you see for Doug Thorley? Prolly not a hole heck of a lot.

It's the fact that they are probably one of, if not the best Headers that you can put on the Camaro. The word of mouth from customers is what sells these.

We appreciate that, talk em up, say what they do and don't do, and it keeps rollin.

Perhaps....but if you think about the Doug Thorley customer, they aren't the guys who toss money at before and after dynos like the customer who might that buys the higher priced units.

Its a demographic and economic position where the average Doug Thorley customer values their dollar, does their due diligence in finding out what is the best HP/dollar, and buys it knowing that it does what it says it does.

I've had maybe 3-7 customers want a before and after of the DT's.

Nothing compared to the 30-35 of the ARH/Kooks customer.

Just my opinion....

I'll answer the basics of the question here and I can shoot ya a PM as well if you need me to sir.

The numbers are pretty close between the two until you get to the higher RPM ranges.

This is where the Patented "Tri-Y" design flourishes over any system in place in any header on the market.

The scavenging properties of the design aren't included into the Shorties like they are the Long Tubes, so once the RPM's hit around 3650 RPMs, the Tri-Y design just takes over from there.

There are so many more "useable" Ponies that are freed up in this range that there is simply no comparison.

Don't forget that it is just as easy to include and install a High Flow Cat right in place of the "test/connection pipe." Once installed, this is a much more emissions friendly setup.

Not to mention, you won't normally need a tune to prevent the CEL since there will be a Catalytic convertor treating your exhaust.

Granted, there are HP's to gain with a Dyno tune.

Without a tune at all, the DT LT's and the DT Catback are netting our customers over 40RWHP every day.

Food for thought...

LOL....They do look pretty decent huh?

Here's a little before and after: 36.28 rwhp/38.44 Tq

Tell me what you see....

Of course to the trained eye, you'll see it hasn't even been tuned yet...
