I just got word from slick rick's service department guy that he has all the parts ready for install and just waiting for me to go in
 Even the harness is there, which was supposed to be on backorder...looks like we got connections slick rick  as soon as I can make myself feel sick, i'll get over there

well i bit the bullet and took my air bag off to get the ring off to paint it orange. It came off easy and I did disconnect the battery. i ordered the radio controls weeks ago but there on backorder. guess I will have to take it off again when the parts come in.

I had to cancel the steering wheel harness off of my order so I could get the rest of the stuff I ordered (PDIM, Splash Guards) before sometime in June. gmpartsdirect doesn't do a split shipment so, if one part is backordered, the rest of your order is backordered by default. I'd like to get the splash guards on ASAP so, I don't keep getting chips in my paint and crap sprayed all over my car from the tires. Apparently, they only check their email one time a day, in the morning. I sent in a question email about the shipping situation of my order last week and got a reply to that yesterday morning. I quickly replied to that email asking they remove the harness and this morning got a notification that my order status had changed because the harness had been removed. They aren't the quickest place to order but, they are the cheapest so, it's a trade off. I'm beginning to think I should have paid a few extra bucks for decent customer service but, it's a bit too late now since I can't cancel my order. We'll see how long it takes to get my stuff now. I should, at least, get the steering wheel control switch since that wasn't backordered but, I have no way to hook it up since I won't have a harness.
Techsupport, is there any chance of getting a print of that harness? I could probably find the pins and connectors or at least order them and maybe make one for myself (and maybe a few for my comrades here). I have the automatic SS so would need the print for that harness. thanks |
