Apple TV isn't exactly setting the world on fire either... everything they touch does not turn to gold.

I for one hope to God GM never collaborates with Apple on anything for the Camaro (or in general). Their products are nice, they have slick and smooth interfaces, and they work very well. But I don't like to be told by a device I purchased what I can and can't do, I also don't like to have to buy an "app" to do everything, especially things that any PC or other device have built in.

I'm sure that if they did create a car/nav interface it would work great, but it would have certain cripples built in that either force you to upgrade in the future, or compromise on what you want out of the device. The iPad is the biggest example of this.
The ipad could have been so so much more then a bigger dumbed down ithouch. Even as a PC user i was sad about this it could have been huge. A apple tablet would be amazing. My friend got a iPad i asked WTF why waste the money. He had a GREAT answer as to why he did. "I see clients almost daily to set up photo shots, show proofs and so on. I use the iPad to show them im cutting edge (trendy i say) and looks more pro then carrying a high school binder with prints. I can do a shoot and upload proofs faster then going home then loading them on my Mac." I said "Wow the first real reason to own one, not just duh its the new apple toy." They have done great things but are very limited as to what one can do with there devices. And funny thing my friend tried to hook his new HD zune to sync well it came up with unknown device.

Im a huge apple fan and think the ipad is stupid. It does not even have flash support. My macbook pro is just as easy to carry around, and does so much more. What a waste. Plus with my iphone jail broken I can make it a hotspot and get 3g on my macbook.

And your friend is full of crap. You can't get stuff ON to an iPad without syncing it with a computer. There is no way he is able to do a shoot and get the pics right on to his iPad without using a laptop as a go-between of some sort. Jobs had said they will maybe be releasing a "digital camera cable" eventually, but its not out.

Exactly what i was saying... People convince themselves they they don't need flash because the iPad/iPhone/iPod doesn't have it. Meanwhile then they are forced to PAY for content the rest of the world gets free (like TV shows on hulu).

Thaaaaaat doesn't make a lot of sense. Not to mention Sync doesn't do a LOT of what most iDrive systems do as far as car settings, as opposed to syncs primarily media-center based abilities.

He was saying this before they were out like a month before so he may have not known. I was just glad he had a reason other then its a new thing to get like some apple people i know. And i dont see why the i family doesnt have flash and why alot of apps cost money when apple didnt even make the damn apps people like you and me did. Im srue there charge you to make apps for them like a SDK or something.

You don't think a nice touch interface would be a good option addition? I am by no means a an Apple fan boy, but you have to give credit where it is due. The iPhone/iPad/iTouch interface is pretty slick.
