If the time comes that I have the money to buy a spoiler and this is not available in ABM or non painted I will get either MDP or Unrestricted motorsports, depending on what I do with the rear and side skirts.

Gm Camaro Dove Tail

So whats the deal with this thing..
They say its available, then they say it's not...
Then they send out an email saying would you like it available already painted, and then when you go to order it, they say there is a back log...

whats the deal????

12 hours, and 90 views later, and it still remains a mystery.

That seems to be the way that most of the GM accessories have gone. It took FOREVER for the Hurst shifter to be available, months for the heritage grill to be available, etc. I really like the GM dovetail as well and want one, and it kills me how they put it on practically every show/concept, pacecar that they have but it still isn't available to the public. The car will be redesigned before this thing ever gets produced!

From what I was told by a vendor:

"GM has not released the product to us yet. We know they are in production
since wešve been shipped 1 for a group of special event Camaros. Wešve
installed the spoiler but I canšt provide any more details yet since GM has
requested that we not discuss the product yet."

I was told that they are working on the shocks that open the deck lid. These have to be changed because of the added weight.

I have been waiting on this since I saw the Dale Jr Camaro. It is almost to the point of fiinding another, but the problem is that I do not like any of the other spoilers that are currently available.

I did notice that on the Sinergy Series Camaro's that they had the spoiler pictured in the brochures, maybe they are waiting on that. Just wished someone from GM would let everyone know what is going on.

I'm in the same boat. I dont really like any of the other spoilers, and feel the dove tail keeps with the style that was used on the previous generations with the 3 piece setup.
the only vendor made spoiler I am even considering is the Havoc, and I dont really want that one either.

This is holding up my plans.. :(

I've been considering the Havoc too. However, there are 2 things that O don't like about it. 1st...the 2 little "support towers" that go down just bvetween the taillights. I know they add strength. and mimic the lines from the bumer to between the taillights, but I just don't like them. 2nd, it is just a little bit too tall. I wish it was 3/4" - 1" shorter and I would be ok with it. Best option going though.

The MPD1 spolier is really nice, but again I have an issue. I don't like how it kind of flares outward when looking at it from behind. From the beltline of the car up, the car starts tapering in towards the passenger compartment. If their spoiler followed those same contours, like it should, I would have grabbed one of those.

With so many people wanting this spoiler, and the fact that they have relesaed a few for " Special occassions" it really has me wondering what the hold up is.

I hvaen't seen any of the other spoilers that really look as good as GM's. Havoc is nice but like other said there are just a few things that I don't like. Hopefully soon we can get some word on what is going on, that way we would at least know how long it would be, or if it would be and could make plans otherwise.
