So you never have just your headlights on? Still not what I''m looking for. Anyone has the part diagram for the center console for the ZL1 with the buttons to change to the driving and suspension modes? Maybe I can use those buttons as the switch to turn on my fogs.

Some kits may be less or people may have mentioned they got the parts for under $1000. This is true, I'm sure, but not all of the actual pieces necessary, such as the lights, the GM hardware, etc. We did not skimp or otherwise cut down on the parts on the conversion. I am a very picky individual and I wanted everything to be exactly like the ZL1 front bumper. I want the GM fasteners, the GM hardware, etc. So when I do the conversion on my car it will be with this list. Our kit consists of 97 part numbers and 126 total pieces.

If you would like to cut out the lights or the GM hardware, that is fine, we have a complete conversion list, dear to us, and we will be happy to remove things off the list for you. If you want to use other lights, no problem or other hardware no problem.

Thanks,
Gene.

P.S. Our kit comes with 97 part numbers with 126 total pieces. This is using all ZL1 lamps and all Genuine GM hardware. We can take out the lights, etc. This is also with all of the brackets that come on the OEM bumper to fenders and plastic pieces riveted to the top of the bumper. If you want to remove a bunch of that to save money and reuse your existing, that is fine, but this is a COMPLETE KIT. This is what we were asked for. We also stated we would remove anything off the list that you wanted!
Lower your price and I'm sure people will do business with you. There are forum members selling the COMPLETE kit for LESS including paint and shipped.

i don't have the money right now. waiting for my bonus from work and my tax return. should have the bonus in March. i'm just hoping that the parts will be available at that time so i don't have to wait too long. i'll be taking vacation in April for like 2 weeks and that'll be the perfect time to get the stuff put together and painted since it's a daily driver.

I have the LS so here are my thoughts.

Switch on auto (daytime) --> DRL + aftermarket halos only
Switch on auto (night) --> headlights

Switch on headlights ---> Headlights plus projector fogs

If you could do that you would be the man!

I basically just want to be able turn my fogs on and off as I please without having a cheesy looking switch. It kills me to see cars driving around at night with headlights and fogs on ALL the time when there's no fog what so ever.

Difficult I know, any thoughts?

The problem is that these lights aren't necessarily fog lights. I know they functioned as fog lights on your car since it was an LS, but on the RS cars (and I believe the ZL1), these are DRLs.

Some cars have lights that might appear to be fog lights on at night, but they're actually "driving lights" designed to light up the road low and close to the car. To be fair, fog lights on a lot of cars these days are actually useless in the fog. Not only are they the wrong types of lights to be used as true fog lights, they're white. Fog lights should really be yellow (a very specific yellow to be exact).

Sorry to ramble on... but what I'm getting at here is basically that these lights aren't really fog lights in the first place. Furthermore, like Ofer said, they're impossible to set up the way you want without reprogramming or pretty much rewiring your entire front lighting system using some relays.

Ours has alot more pieces to do it how it would be from the factory the others are not. If you would like us to remove items to make it cheaper we can but we do ours this so we dont have people screaming hey you said its complete and this isnt right, missing etc.
