I can relate to that "bring it back when it acts up" crap. I just traded away a 2006 Colbalt SS with 32000+ miles SOB car has control computor issues ,and has "quit" on my daughter 3 times. When it did, being a drive by wire and STEERING by wire, it was a sum bitch. All 3 time at Billion Chevy, nothing found wrong and can't determine the problem until it is not working while at the dealership. Thought these comptutors where able to ask the car whats wrong, with retaining codes. Guess the Chevy's don't

*****My Dodge 3500 cummins diesel does store all issues.*****

Those kitties are pretty!

On the car front...why would you not notice the leaks prior to taking it in on the power steering and brake lines...would you not be losing fluid? I just do not trust some of these 'mechanics' when things pop up that were not there PRIOR to me going to the dealer for something else. The last one was with my Escalade at McGraths...seems my brake calipers were 'dry'. Umm...what?

I never noticed any leaks from my coolant tank resivoir or from the power steering pressure tube. However, about 2 weeks ago I had my power steering flushed and magically I now have a leak. When they called me I told the service rep that if the mechanic put to much power steering fluid in it and caused enough pressure to blow a line and make it leak then it was on them to fix it, but he insisted that you cannot over fill power steering and make if over pressurize...bullshit! You know how I know, because I freaking did it 3 years ago!

They tried the dry calipers on me too. They said it needed lubrication? what? So does my blinker fluid need to be topped off then while your at it?

On the brighter side, I am definitely looking forward to my next weekend off. Probably pull the ole girl down and put full coverage insurance back on her and get her exhaust opened up a little bit more.

Alright, so I went out to my garage and opened the hood to take a peek. They said that my coolant resevoir tank was leaking so I started looking around at it and found the leak. What is leaking is the inlet connection where the hose is clamped on to and runs to the radiator cap. So, my first thought was maybe they just loosened it up enough to make it look like it is in place, but after letting her warm up it will start to leak. Also, I took a look at the resevoir itself and the coolant in there is way past the label HOT on there and it hasn't been drivin for 5 hours now. So I am wondering, if too much coolant would cause too much pressure to push the line off and cause a leak, or if the mechanic loosened it? Anyhow, I reclamped it back down as tight as I could get with out breaking anything. Since it has cooled off it has stopped leaking. Tomorrow I am going to Auto Zone and buying a new hose for it and putting it on. I can do that myself, as far as the power steering I have McGraths take care of it.

Scott, I looked at the power steering lines while i was in there. The line has a cloth like insulation around this power steering line. This insulation is damp in appearance, but is not dripping so that would be the reason why I didn't notice that leak. I think I need a another Camaro V6 as my DD.

Thumbs up Afterburners Arrived and Installed Today... FINALLY!!!

Count me in for the this saturday the 17th and for the 21st next month!!!

RBERNS, you should bring your vehicle up to Rydell, request Mike Jacobsen, and let him work on it. Those hacks at McGrath couldn't find their asses with both hands glued to them.

Finally got my Afterburners and installed them!!!

All that's left is putting the magnetic trunk black-out on, getting the silver door and dash inserts, new rims, CAI Intake, Leather Shift Knob, Leather Console Lid, and fog lights(maybe go without).

2 MPH? Wow. How about we make it .08 mph over...like the alcohol limit?

Triple the fines for texting and being an asshat behind the wheel as well.

rberns...get the V6 DD...that would be sweet.

So can we ticket the officer for speeding to catch up to us?

So yesterday I tightened down the hose clamp and drove the car to work today. I opened up the hood to see if it had started leaking again and thankfully nothing was dripping so I think that issue is resolved. Now I am wondering how the hose got loosened.
