My fuse pull is now complete but it is hard to tell if there is a difference since my car accelerated like a retard in the first place with just a tune and cai. It did feel a hint quicker though.

Definitely a difference on my LS3!

Idles smoother, seems to shift a bit smoother, and pulls harder. Actually, snaps my head back in first thru third now at WOT. I'm on my second tank (400 miles on odo) of Shell V-Power (91 octane in my area) and I unplugged my fuses last night...then, a very enjoyable ride into work this morning!

new to the boards so howdy to all, quick question about the fuse pull that I have not ready yet. When you pull the fuses does it re-set your oil life as well? As I'm new the the car I'm still learning it. Not a big deal to be as I've always used the milage but am kinda curious to see how the computer reccomended changes line up with my experience.

Nope doesn't effect your oil life counter.

It is pretty amazing how the engine came DIRECTLY out of the Vette and yet the dealers all looked over the high octane fact.

Nancygrl is correct. The only thing reset by the fuse pull is the ECU it's self. The battery resets the stereo and windows and such and does not reset the ecu. So that's why I am confused by the LS3 battery cable thing. But if it works, it works.

Thanks for the answer guys.
For me it does not make since to me why disconnecting the battery would not reset everything. Guess there must be a breaker or relay which prevents drainining the ECU with a battey disconnect.

My question on this procedure, if you car is TUNED, does this matter?

Does it erase the tune as well?

I noticed this sluggish after coming back from SEMA and had no choice to run a full tank of 89 wear I got the gas....

If u have to run anything lower then 93(91) then dont floor

There is in fact a battery back-up between the battery and the ECU.

Better ask your tuner. Me and Chris have both pulled ours just for GP. I did mine after the 91 oct from the fest. But I'm sure I didn't need to.

is this a good idea for any other gm engine (lt1, ls1)? I'm wondering about buying a used car where your not certain someone used 91+ octane as directed.

Probably not. But all I can speak to is this one. I think it's only a 5th Gen V8 Camaro thing.

I had my fuses pulled for about 10 days ( I work out of town ) and no extra power, still won't spin the wheels even with the nanny's off unless i rev up and dump the clutch but I hate to do that. I wonder if a tuner would help or something? My brother has an 08 Mustang and it feels about the same only he can spin the tires.
