Nope, I'm starting to think it's some bad gas.... after further investigation it's limited to wot

and doesn't start till about 4K....

obviously I could be leaned out but I'm gonna hope for the best put a full tank of good gas in and see whats up.

If by tuesday it's not gone, I've got an appt with EFI to have them take a look.

You may want to put a few gals of 100 octane gas to kinda level things up.....there is a sunoco gas station on beach blvd and southside that sells that stuff.

I probably won't get over to efi till about 6 PM...

But the gas doesn't seem to have worked..... I ran mine just about empty and put about two gallons of 93 from a normally good station. I'm about empty again and gonna fill up with gas from another reliable station but she's still doing it.... I need to get under the hood an be sure it's not an exhaust leak.....

Again, hoping for a simple solution I just can't believe that something really bad is going on.. I'm not getting any timing retard or surging or anything....

So, I'm gonna stay positive.

Hey guys. My wife and I moved to Jacksonville a few months ago and I'm looking for some exhaust advice on my Camaro. I've been in Iraq since we moved in so the only thing I have to go by is crappy videos on the internet. I'll be back home in a few weeks and would really like to hear some aftermarket systems in person before I make a decision. My big concern is the noise that L99 owners are complaining about when the AFM goes from 8 to 4 cylinders. Do any of you have the same engine with aftermarket exhaust?

Not looking for something that will make my neighbors think they're at a monster truck ralley. A boost in performance would be nice but its not as important to me as the sound. So far my favorite (from videos) is the Magnaflow 2.5" Competition Series.

Magnaflows sound good for any generation. I have a true dual 3" exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers. Sounds great. IMHO

You will need to get a tune (handheld or dyno) to turn off afm. I hear that afm sounds like crap (of course only when activated) no matter what aftermarket exhaust you get.

Yeah, the AFM issue might be a deal breaker for me on the exhaust. I'm not willing to void my warranty just to get a better sound.
