$72,000 for a ZL1? I don't think so. If Servco is really only getting 1 allocation initially, then you have to contact Camaro Scotty or Becky from these C5 boards. They both will sell you one and help arrange for shipping.
Yep, still in the shop. The installer had an emergency or something, so had to go off island. I think he was suppose to come back today. Im hoping the halos are working fine this time. Cars been in the shop too much for a headlight change.

Texted the C5 group out at WW, and they said was a good turnout. Not sure who was actually there in person.

However, I guess there must be a lot of people that are willing to pay the ADM on cars and keep them in business.
Aren't the allocations based on vehicle sales?
It seems they don't have a problem with getting their allocations...key word here is "Seems".

David H. told me that because Servco sells at MSRP, when the Gen 5 came out they purchased all the Camaros from Servco, and flipped them with their ADM.
Must have been a nice sale for Servco, and I would think their Allotments would have gone up...unless of course David H was blowing smoke! Ya think!
I heard the same thing at WW Servco from a salesman there. But all their camaros were pre-orders except for the V6. I think all three of us are members of the camaro5 forums (V8 pre-order customers). Only one they had that didnt sell right away was the demo V6 located in the chevy bldg.

Question for those of you on here. What type of polish/wax do you use on your Camaro's? I have used Adams but mainly stick with Meguiars. I did just purchase a down gun to prep before washing.

Oracle Lights

Installer got the Oracle lights installed. He did find a flaw in the design of the halos with the wiring. Looks like a batch of halos had the ground wire laying over the other wires causing the halo to fail. He noticed on one of the replacement halos where they moved the grounding wire away from the rest to keep them from contacting each other while the second replacement was wired the same as the first two halos which failed. He was able to put a piece of tape between the ground wire and the rest to keep it from grounding out.

Anyways, if anyone else orders Oracle Color Halos from ACC, you might want to check the wiring before installing. Will keep you from the hassle of sending them back for replacement.

Aloha Guys!

Haven't been on the forums for awhile because i was busy with some training on the mainland. But now that im back, id thought i ask you guys first before i post it on craigslist. I got a set of (4) BMR lowering springs 1.4" for sale. They are used with about 1000 miles on them, maybe even less, dont really know..... havent touched my car in 8 months lol. ill let them go for $150 LMK.

@Haole: i like meguiar's NXT 2.0 wax. i also have Zaino. i prefer useing the NXT because it takes less time do to my car than Zaino but Zaino leaves a much deeper shine.

I keep meaning to look at what I use...can't remember the name...some German stuff. It's good, easy application and gives a deep shine. Kind of expensive though...I'll check on the name when I get home today from work...if my RAM doesn't fail me again.

1st Hawaiian International Car Show.

Dont forget next week is the 1st Hawaiian International Car Show. Should be great and hoping that they might have the ZL1 there.

Anyone know if Dean is planning on having the camaro club show off cars this year at the event? I know last year we didnt and was a bit disappointed when I couldnt find them.

All right...my RAM kicked in today, the polish I use is called Klasse.
I purchased it at Cutter VW, but they are no longer on Ala Mo Blvd...so not sure where to get it now.
One of the best I've used....easy application and great protection.

Papa Ole's

Great turnout for the camaro cruise on sunday, especially for short notice. This time we went clockwise from Pearl City. Of course we had to stop off at Papa Ole's for lunch. I had to have the peanut butter rolls for dessert. Had a couple of corvettes and mustangs mixed in with the camaros, but overall we had 13 cars show up for the cruise. Hopefully next time we get more than 2 hours notice before the cruise. My back is kinda sore from riding all day yesterday, but my back survived the cruise.

Heard that Hawaii Kai car show has changed where its limited to the first 200 cars and will be displayed where we usually stage our cars before they start the show. I think they used to do it this way before. Hope they change thier minds.

Oracle lights work great, but some flickering with the blue dome light. Not sure why. Something to watch an eye on. The doors solved my problems getting in and out of the car. Easy to open and easy to close from the outside, but alot harder to close from the inside. Gotta build some upper arm muscles. Car goes back to Bode for some upgrades in a couple of weeks so looking forward to Sally having stronger legs.

Halos

It was really short notice. Got word at 8:15am, left house at 9am and arrived in Pearl City just before 10am. Group departed at 10am. It was a nice day that morning and someone wanted to eat lunch at Papa Ole's, so a bunch of people got together really quickly and headed for lunch.

I've got some pics of the burnt Oracle Halo's so that anyone interested can take a look at them to see what I mean about the wires getting burnt and failing on me. Just let me know and I can email them to you.

OE SS tires for sale. About 2-months of use(~400 miles). I just got them unmounted from my SS rims that has been sitting in my garage. Needed more storage space...

245/45/20 & 275/40/20

PM if interested. Sorry, Oahu only.

BTW, Davis at Mod Industries was very helpful and quick. Great service and reasonable.
