I've installed this and have been using it without isssues for about a year maybe more now. Yes there are alignment issues easy enough to fix. I didn't do the RcA mod, I have no sound issues. (radio strength is weak, could be somthing on my end)

Make sure you have updated the software. most of the issues with this unit are user errors.

I use oBDII bluetooth with torque, it works great. I use a hot spot for internet on the unit, and you can not use the internet for 2 differnet apps at the same time. example I tried to run google maps for my navigation, and stream music from iheart radio, iheart radio will shut off when you start google maps, my fix for that is to run google maps from my hot spot and stream music thru blue tooth. you can stream music and run torque via blue tooth at the same time.

i get the same error with parking assist, after i installed my backup camera. i'm going to try to install a diode on the reverse wire that I spliced into, i believe this will solve that issue. (that is the only wire that I had to splice for my install, everything else was plug and play.) that needs to be isolated to keep the computer from giving you that error.

the unit does lag a bit starting programs and changing programs, but that doesn't bother me too much. i drive 1 hr each way to work so i have plenty of time to get it setup and running. i've changed the settings so the unit gets power for 4hrs after I park, so i dont haveto wait for boot up, never had a battery issue, i've been thinking about moving that to 8hrs.

as far as the cd/dvd if your install is aligned correcly you should not have issues ejecting, my 1st fit, it was not aligned correctly and i counldnt get the cd to ejecct .

everyone I show this to loves it.

Let us know if the diode works to get rid of the parking assist error. Also a link to which one you use might be helpful to the users who aren't as electrically inclined like myself.

The weak radio signal I'm going to try connecting the antenae at the onstar module. There seems to be a connection there. Basically by just using a 3 foot antenae cord extension.

My cd not popping out is an alignment issue. I got a cpl different sized spacers to try between the brain and the car to help this.

The small fuzz noise I have which can only be heard when radio is on but no music playing I am thinking is one of two issues.

1. I think wires bunched up badly behind unit could be it. Plan on cleaning that up next time I have it apart.

2. Thinking maybe the brain grounds to the car by direct contact at mounting pts. The tape/spacers I used between there might prevent the grounding. I think this might be a long shot but I'll make a wire to ground it to go around the spacers. I didn't have no fuzz the first time I installed unit but I didn't have any spacers in there at all. So I wonder if that may be an issue.

I plan on updating and setting back to factory image to help eliminate user issues. Currently I am not having any luck connecting wifi internet via my hotspot on my phone. It connects but doesn't get internet.

Good to see this thing is still around. I have had it installed since November 2013 I believe, one of the original lower end units that went from 2.3 to 4.0.

Has anyone ever fixed or found a fix for this whole power issue. Every blue moon I still get it and it wont start up, but after doing the song and dance (remove key, open door, re-insert key) it usually boots.

Been a while since i have communicated with Lim, but I think I am going to try to start that back up and see if he had found the fix.

Mine is an older unit 2.3 to 4.0 upgrade, I get the same power issue from time to time also, I haven't checked for an update on this either.

So this radio is compatible with all 5th gen Camaros regardless of whether or not they came with MyLink?

I'd like to order so I emailed them just waiting on a response. I've read through a lot of this thread and it looks like the main thing you have to do is some trimming to make it fit better, has that been fixed or is that still needed? Any other issues with the newer 4.0 Android models that I should be worried about? I don't care too much about the applications so long as the sound, A/C, aux, and bluetooth will work. I hate not having my phone be able to play music via bluetooth (although calls work with the stock radio)

Any advice before purchasing this radio?

I don't really want to go with the scocshe unit, I've heard of problems with it as well and it doesn't look as nice.

It's a great unit but it restarts out of nowhere.... There are times when you turn the key on and it doesn't start up, google play store only connects randomly but can use blackmart. You can stream audio via wifi or Bluetooth but Bluetooth cuts out sometimes. On the plus side he does release updates and you can play games, watch videos, use an sd card for storage.. It's very cool if you can put up with the challenges of a non name brand unit... I had to send one back and shipping was a bit#*! Lol.... Eventually I plan to move to a mylink unit

I got rid of mine for a Pioneer. Had too many glitches, but has a lot of cool features.

I was quoted around $760 if I end up buying one just so you know. It's real hard to understand what they're saying though

My quote they gave me says it comes with both a front and rear screw in camera? Does anyone have front cameras mounted with this system?
