Agreed.

The original post about their policy suggested that the MTI policy to lock their tunes was something that they hid from their customers, and the post was revealing some deep dark secret.

As stated originally, I am a customer of MTI, had my car tuned by MTI, and was aware of their policy..no issue for me....it is also printed on the invoice. If you don't agree with their policy...fine, but it is their policy. If the other shops don't have the same policy, then that is fine as well. The "surprised" comments on this particular discussion (with the exception of one) are not customers of MTI. I also know of some members who are not customers of MTI and were also aware of the policy.

I'm with Joe, a couple of people post props to MTI for fixing Ken's car, and then the other vendor posts this "big secret"... I'm certain that none of the other vendors on here would do the same.

3 months of trying to get it back in that shop I took it somewhere else. After a few weeks I got it back and things seemed good. But after about 10 days it started acting

11-1/2 months I have made more insurance & tag payments than I have driven it.
Maybe 15 times. The 2 years before that it was in the shop more than I had too. I understand the pay to play but I didn't get much play. I think 12 days for an oil change
was about the fastest I ever got it in and out of a shop. I'm sure as
hell going to miss you guys though.
WTH Les!!! Why not get another one and start over, but maybe a smaller build?!?

Oh and if your just joking

Les, that are sad news, but I sure as hell can understand, that you are tired of the trouble you are having and especially no car for so long.
But I agree with Jeff, just get a nice 2013 and start over a little milder. What else would you want to get?

Sounds like things are about to stabilize to the point you could drive it a lot more often. Or are you retiring?

Trust me I know how he feels. It's the most frustrating money draining feeling in the world. Yes you gotta pay to play but when things are promised one way and it ends in another it's frustrating. If I did my business and treated them they way I have been treated there is no way I would ever stay in business. The lesson I've learned through all of this is definetly deal with company's who have experience dealing with what your trying to accomplish and ones that have been around the longest. The names like Vengeance, MTI, Lamar Walden, and even brad brand comes to mind. These small companies that over promise and under deliver run from them. The first issue I should have ran from is when Chris had me pay the majority of the money upfront and the other guys the same I should have ran. The first thing I paid attention to Ron and vengeance was I dropped my car off, had over 6k worth of work to be done, he never asked for money upfront. To me that says a lot about a business that can do this. It also means if there is a problem, chances are there still in business to take care of problem. I do over 10 million in sales annually in my roofing business. Not ever, and I mean ever do I get a dime until the work is done and the homeowner is satisfied. We are not perfect, so it is in my best interest and customer if there is a problem we take care of it as soon as possible. A lot of these shops give you a tail light warranty. When your lights are gone, good luck getting them to own with their issues. The last yo yos Chris had my car, tried to do things but it was definetly over there heads. I still paid them what was agreed, and moved on. I payed 600.00 for tune and dyno, and the guys at vengeance sayed it was one of worst tunes they had seen. I called guy sayed that he would reimburse tune and two months later no refund. It's one crazy business and one that I'm not sure I will get back in. The c7 looks like a beast and one I will be proud just to have and drive.

Warranty work you will normally get the best service where you bought it. With that said, I have never had a problem with Hendrick for warranty work. I always use Chris when I go to the Buford service shop as he went above and beyond for me when I had my Callaway and was taking it into Hendrick Duluth.

We've really missed you Les, but hope what everyone is saying is true.......maybe you're getting it back in some kind of shape where you can just drive it and enjoy it.

hey guys, got a quick question. I forget who I was speaking with at the mountain cruise we did, but I was talking to someone about the fog lights and getting some new bulbs to match the HID lights. Someone said there is a guy who sells them or has them... I know kinda confusing but does anyone know what Im talking about lol.
