dont worry about it , if it was fine when you put it away , all you need to do is drive it and have the computer , run through its system checks , , you will be fine . i went thru it in the fall with the cats that had air leak ,
NO problems take it out burn the tires a few times you will be good

Those "tests" that need to be completed are called registers. Some time they can be completed in 40 miles and some time 100 miles. Your pcm has multiple registers (cats, evap and others) These need to be complete before the vehicle will pass an emission test. I believe they were created so people couldn't unhook their batteries then get there cars inspected.

Thanks for the input Andy and Joe. Guess I'll find out tomorrow if my 60 miles was enough, looked online and in order to pass you only need 1 non-ready so hope one of them is fine, not sure what happens if I don't pass again?

Anyone looking to replace their tires with the original Pirelli's may want to check this out, $199 per tire shipped to my house (14905) for the rear 275/40/20's, not sure what the front's are going for, but sale is for about another week! http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=281552

Haha nope, they were still not ready when I went to their this afternoon. HOWEVER from the shop I ran to autozone and bought an OBDII scanner and then got home and plugged it in. Now one of the "not ready" systems is "ready". Either this is true and it literally only took an additional 10miles or I wasted $130 on a crappy OBDII scanner.

If you have a smart phone
Torque Pro app $5
Elm327 bluetooth obdII scanner about $25

I have this setup and you can do a lot with it.
0-60 times, 1/4 mile, parameters, check and clear codes.
There are several threads about it. Here's one

Does the app work with iphone? What about the cable that plugs into the OBD port, does it come with the scanner?

edit: never mind, I just saw you had a link to the original thread! Answered my own question!
